i was just reading the sept 1st wt.
the october 11-17 article is entitled (what else?
) beware of "the voice of strangers".
There they go again. I guess it's good for them that they've got two. Whenever they lose face they've got that spare to slip on real quick.Makes me sick.

obi wan kenobe tells luke skywalker: "trust your feelings, luke".
listen to people say they will: "go with my gut feeling".
Actually, I agree with a lot of what you said, Terry (at least what I could comprehend of it) but I think it possible that you misunderstood or oversimplified the opening quotes you used. "Feelings" does not automatically mean "emotions"-- it can carry the somewhat broader meaning of "sensations" and could apply to a full range of information taken in through the physical senses as well as what I consider the more "subtle" senses of instinct and intuition. Just my small take on a small part of what you said. Carry on.
i've been going through my wt 2003 and 1995 cd-rom's looking for articles on the freemasons in any wt publication.. there doesn't seem to be much from 1950 onwards only basically passing references.. but there are 8 references from 1930 to 1958 all in the awake magazine.
which of course are not on the cd's.. does anyone know what these articles are.. especially an article in the awake 22nd march 1958 which was 4 pages long.
long shot i know.
I checked my limited resources and couldn't find anything helpful. Sorry.

oops, sorry...thought you said "Emoticons..."
or, is it reflected in everything?
while waiting for my laundry at the mat, i noticed the reflections in the glasses in all the machine doors.
looking at different ones, i could see different areas of the place reflected.
"Is All of the Universe Everywhere?".................................................................................................
..............................................................................................I don't know. Where else would it be?
Is this anything like the theory of a holographic universe (which I don't really understand either but it sounds cool and so seems totally plausible anyway)?
.
alright, call me dumb, go ahead get it outta your system..... .
anyway, what exactly is the meaning of this word "racket" that they love to refer to?
My JW mom used to like to tell the story of how her non-JW grandmother whose eyesight was failing thought the signs said "Religion is a snake and a rabbit." That works too.
jesus words as recorded in mark 16:16-18 identify those who hear the "good news" and become believers in this way: "by the use of my name they will expel demons, they will speak with tongues, and with their hands they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly it will not hurt them at all.
they will lay their hands on sick persons, and these will become well.
i know a lot of people who claim to be christians and true believers, but i don't think i'll ask any of them to prove it by the above criteria.

the jw's use isaiah 43:10 as the excuse for their name.. i'm trying to find information that refutes this.
i came across a good one on a website but now can't find it.. anyone one know of a good refutation of the jw's use of this scripture..
It's also kind of interesting to research why they may have felt a need to give themselves a new name, distinguishing themselves from those who continued to call themselves Bible Students and who followed the teachings of Russell rather than Rutherford.
