i am currently an skeptic, but i have to admit that i can't assure that all the stuff of early christianity was false.. for instance, we know that the genuine letters of paul were written before the destruction of jerusalem.

so, paul affirmed that jesus resurrected, though he was not there when it supposedly happened.

but, if jesus did not resurrect, why didn't the jews expose this falsehood?.

If Jesus existed then maybe he didn't die as evidenced by post-cruxifiction activities so:

Imposter (why did no one recognise him).
Someone took fall for him.
He didn't die on cross (on there a few hours , soldier bribed to claim speared) and needed some time to recover.
Elaborate ruse worked up by someone in authority (a high level convert).

If Jesus did die:

Imposter
Made up stories

What did not happen:

Came back to life from a dead state due to supernatural reasons after paying supernatural debt to supernatural self to fulfil supernatural laws broken by supernatural first man and woman.

Initially atheist but recently coming under the sneaking suspicion I may actually be divinity myself at least if my wife is to be believed by what she calls me during evening activities.

There is nothing impressive about a handful of people who have expressed an atheist position changing their mind. Oh hang on my bad, obviously it is impressive so spirit.

In the real world people make all kinds of choices. If you want to look for information based upon trends ask yourself why the more educated people become the more they reject magic thinking. There is a reason why more scientifically minded people reject the gods of their past than convert to faith based woo. I will allow you or Newton or Psychic Sally to enlighten us.

Why do we not recognise mankind's repeated ability to fool itself into believing when nothing is there. Entire civilisations have come and gone devoted to imaginary gods and still we sink vast resources and waste intellect on chasing the current gods that are also false. The christians have hundreds of versions of the old hebrew god who himself is an amalgamation of older gods and yet every single one is adamant that they have it right and god talks to them. Its adult playtime and they're all blithering idiots.

The 'sages' were making it up as usual hence the tripe above. The scientific method is the first time humanity has approached the aquisition of knowledge in a structured and rational way. This accumulation of peer reviewed and tested knowledge reveals a better model of reality than all the mystic, psycho babble of spirit based philosophy. A good example is the categorisation of more than five senses that immediately makes the OP irrelevant. As for the question of atheists I would ask why there are no digitally recorded manifestations of gods? You'd think one at least would grab the opportunities afforded by youtube. When people can freely share information and can examine their beliefs critically the cultural belief in magic is revealed as pious fraud. You may be onto something with cranial voids filled with air for those who reject reality and persist with woo.
