No wonder the JWs never discuss the Good Samaratan. That good person didnt have the time to stay but instead left money behind to ensure the victims care. Pretty much like contributing to United Way etc. I my 55+ years I have never come directly in contact with someone who desperatley needed help. Prior to becoming a dub I contributed to the United Way. Now that I am out I am back to lending assistance to those in need wether I can see them or not. Yes, the past is extremely important. Once I found the internet and could finally do some real research I was stunned by the magnitue of their errors. It was mainly their own past that set me free and to think I only went to the web to find a suitable sister. ROTFLMAO.

All you guys have written some wonderful relpies with lots of insight and logical thinking.

My only additional comment would be their revisionist history. This is about the most disgraceful, lowest academic trick, and most dangerous there is.

Try www.Battery-Web.com. or BatteryMart.com BTW the reason for large price variation is the quality of cells that go into the battery pack. Cells from Japan like Sony, Sanyo are the best. Often some suppliers will use inferior cells from China. You usually get what you pay for. battman

when i was studying and in the org i never did put two and two together becuase first off it was peer pressure and a young baptism age.

i was indoctrinated as a child so i never got a chance to ever use sound reason and judgement toword the validity of the society's claims.

but anywho i was thinking the other day about certain things that are obvious red flags and far fetched claims that the org makes.

Hi Ben, One aspect of truth, not da troof, is willingness to candidly admit mistakes. Review the results of Nixon, Clinton, etc etc. It is not usually the crime it is the coverup that really takes them done. Real men admit their mistakes and ask for foregivness. distinctions without a difference:

issues regarding jw beliefs and teachings bugged me going into the religion, and bugged me until i left.

they are those oh so all-important claims they make that other religions are doing such bad things ... yet they do the same thing ... but, they manage to draw some kind of technical distinction that really makes no difference.

Life after death. JW's criticize other religions who claim that there is life (immediatly) after death where the JW's say that when you die you go into a state of knowing, feeling etc nothing. However, you will come back to life after the resurrection! So there is life after death after all in the JW belief system, just a longer period of "death". battman

Have you noticed an oddity at indoor conventions?

every time i've attended a dc in an indoor arena, i 've noticed a u.s. flag hanging on the rafters or somewhere prominently displayed.

of course it is a permanent fixture of the arena.

anyways, since national flags are symbols of idolatry.
