Thoughts on resurrection, memorial, etc
by lrkr inthis year i came to the realization that the jw memorial is primarily about death, sin, and compliance.
easter is a celebration of resurrection, rebirth and life.
just like we have come to expect from the borg- take a positive, uplifting celebration and highlight the dark aspects of it.

Why do they call it the memorial of his death ? They celebrate the observance of the last supper. When you observe something does this mean you celebrate it ? Comebacks for memorial invitations
by moomanchu ini thought in this hounding season we could have a little list of comebacks to jdub invitations to the memorial.. kinda like a reasoning book witnessing tool in reverse.. i thought of one just today;.
when the dub inevitably says this is the one thing we are commanded to do in the bible;.
you might respond with; really could you please show me from the bible where it says we are to observe .

Conversation might go something like this;

moo "Are you sure you want me to come ?"

by fifi40 inthis morning i had a 40 min phone conversation with my ex husband because i spoke with my 15 year old son on wednesday about the inaccuracies of the jw belief system he has been raised with by his dad.
obviously ex husband is not happy about this.
the one thing he kept saying is that even if it is wrong it is not a bad way to live your life............what would you say to this?.
