I hate the top of this page pop up slogan; "Secrets of Pedophilia in an American religion." Here's why.

A female workmate works next to my desk we have worked together for 2 years, we get along well. One work mate was fired for looking at Porno in a public area. Yesterday my boss called me in saying that an investigation took place about me being on a pedophile website I was in shock! He then said this site was checked and he had to explain to staff and superiors that this was a site of religious discussion and was okay. The second in command is a friend and knows I'm an Ex-Witness and am on this site often. So, he looked up JWO and showed everyone what it's about. The superiors said according to him;"Thank God we would hate to lose him, he's a great guy, this doesn't have to go any further." My work mate who accused me had tears in her eyes and was quiet upset saying....."Oh I shouldn't have said anything..I knew it wasn't true."

This sites adds could have cost me my job and reputation!! I'm still abit freaked!.......the other add for "Attorney for sex abuse" didn't help either. At least they realized it was all okay. It felt like an Elders meeting. They are alittle strict here about the net.. Lucky everyone likes me though.

I use a very effective advertisement blocker for Firefox. It slays all ads.

...Unfortunately, we have to use IE at work. I'll have to be careful.

You should setup Remote Desktop on your home computer. That way when you are at work you can "Remote" into your home computer and read JWD from there.

I hope no one at work reads this post and the matter is re-opened.

I'm a member of the local wellness center and often use their computer to go on JWD. Two days ago access was denied. It then said I could set up an ID and passcode, but the information would go to the system administrator. I wonder now if it was for the same reason.

Sorry but this seems a little melodramatic. Questions were asked, explainations were given, explainations accepted. big deal?

I know exactly what you mean.

When I open this site at work I immediately scroll down to get the ads off the screen.

I also have a Jdub that sits about 10 feet diagonally behind me and he likes to snoop and see what I'm looking at.

    Prick! Oh well.

WITNESS 007- It is so true that people jump to conclusions about things before they are aware of it ! It's good you have a good relationship with the lady who tried " ratting " you out , but Jeez , now I think I know why I've been self -employed all these years. It's tough when people don't recognize your character enough and make false assumptions not giving you the benefit of the doubt. If it had happened to me , I would have been pissed at the lady for imputing wrong motives initially. You are more patient than I would have been

You might need to lay low for a few days. Most workplaces have rules about not using the net for private purposes - even if no-one sticks to the rules, they can enforce the rules when they feel like it. I'm paid by the hour so wouldn't feel right about posting while I'm at work.

The image address for the offending ad is "http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/ads/img/watchtowerdocuments.gif

Who designed and made this animated gif?

Perhaps it should be redone to make it more work-safe viewable?
