I need some input: I have come to the conclusion my wife blames me for her lack of spirituality
by goingthruthemotions inso lately my wife and i have been arguing alot.
not big arguments...but more of a bickering.. you see, over the last year i have stepped down as an ms and we moved halls.
last november was around the time i woke.. during this time we still have family studies....but only from the bible.

Of COURSE there were nice nazis! As long as you were Aryan had blonde hair blue eyes and no gypsy or jüdenblut. They were kind to their german neighbours, sharing kaffe mit klunjes torte und küchen. They cared for the wounded, and brought their kids up to believe in sound nazi values. AS LONG AS YOU WERE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BARBED WIRE FENCE.
I cringe at how I thought it was righteous to cut people dead in the street, and soo many other winceworthy things, even praying for Armageddon, not caring about the millions and millions of kids who would be slaughtered because their parents didnt buy a Witchtower comic. WHO IN HELL wants a vicious psychopath for a "god".
My point was not that JWs are LIKE the nazis, simply they believe in a similar doctrine of hate and mass annihilation of the OTHER. Therefore, ultimately evil.

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

This weeks #2 & #3 talk on homosexuality
by granada35 inafter a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.

University Application Personal Statement dilemma - Should I mention my jw past?
by will-be-apostate ini am applying to chemical engineering course in the uk through ucas (a lot of things changed since i've posted last time).. i have a lot of skills i developed while regular pioneering, like public speaking skills, ability to reason (even if it's bs), presentational skills etc.. i feel it would boost my personal statement a lot, but i'm also afraid they would say "this guy beleives in god, and loves science, he must be creationist.
away with him".. how could i mention that i gave interviews front of thousands of people and did voluntary work in my hometown without giving a bad impression?.
i don't want to go into details and start explaining myself that "however i don't beleive in god", or something like that.

You are applying for an engineering course. Not the job of a lecturer or running a charity. Why would you mention it at all?
If any of them know about dubs they will say "let's not bother with him - witnesses always put their cult first before studies or college based activities. They dont want to contribute to the life and community of non witness students. In the bin!"
Saying you gave up da troof and no longer believe it labels you as a sucker for lost causes and a quitter. In the bin.
If you get an interview, they will notice your poise and demeanour and speaking ability anyway. If you are accepted, your other good qualities will also get noticed.

The whole "fag" thing happens because an ignorant bunch of goat herders had only one purpose in their wandering about: BREEDING.
Ensure the food supply. Ensure the Tribes existence. In time some old fool of an Elder decided to say that their vicious Sky Spirit wants it this way.
By an accident of history the monotheistic cults survived until today. And their followers still say you can only be happy in penis-vaginaland in a state of breeder bliss.

1930 for 1?
Interesting as the Proclaimers book says that after 1918 the Bible Students came to realise that Christ "did not return(even invisibly) to the vicinity of the earth in 1914"
