  WT inflating their numbers?

  there have been posts here that indicate the kh building work may be slowing in the u.s., and that there is consolidation of the congos going on.

  if that is true why don't we see the society's published numbers on the decline?

  my next question is, heaven forbid, you don't suppose they're inflating the membership numbers do you?

  HATING JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES

  from what i have gathered, you all were once jw's and now hate them or the organization?

  do you still believe in jehovah and love jehovah?

  i have to admit i dont like, actually i rather dislike, some of the sisters in my congregation and i know that's wrong of me, but some of them really think they are better than me and are quite judgemental.

  i was born and raised, but got to the point that certain things i personally believe to be true conflicted with what the witnesses were asking me to teach others. i couldn't stand being a hypocrite so i left. like the others have said, i don't hate the witnesses and i still care for my family even though they won't have any contact with me.

  I am a very humble sister

  he he...i've always thought that that's one of those things that if you say it, you're probably not.

  a 'phylum' is only available when we have enough similiar creatures to warrant a common label.

  or in this case no surviving evidence of similiar creatures, so a new phylum would be necessary (again, with the benefit of hindsight).

  just wanted to clarify (i'm only on my first cup of coffee...).

  attaboy. i like your style (i'm not being facetious...that is a gen-u-ine compliment ). this thread is probably a much better way to get any arguments against evolution out there than posting on the pro-evolution threads. great idea.

  "Remarkably, the number of fossil species (diversity) in the Cambrian is low, but the number of phyla and classes (disparity) is high, compared to the numbers in other portions of the geologic column. In general, each phylum or class of Cambrian fossils contains only a few species, while these same groups may have larger numbers of species in strata above the Cambrian.

  i'm still learning all this stuff, but isn't our whole taxonomical system existent only in hind sight? for instance, during any given period, we wouldn't necessarily say, "oh, well look at that! another new phylum! those suckers are popping up everywhere!" a 'phylum' is only available when we have enough similiar creatures to warrant a common label. we now label things as "100% Alligator" or "100% Seagull" or "All Mammal" but those distinctions are only clear (or possible) in hindsight.

  all joking aside, i actually like being left alone. i try to remain as inconspicuous in my life as i can. on the rare occasions where i am the center of attention, i revel in it, but then after everyone gets tired of me (which doesn't take long), i go right back to my comfort zone over there in the corner.

  whatever you decide, just make sure you decide it (don't just go because you feel like you're supposed to). i've always felt that those announcements were unnecessarily humiliating and the congregation gets a sort of sick pleasure out of it...

  whatever you decide, never feel bad for not being a doormat. your choices are yours to make (which is more than you can say for anyone at your hall that is not getting disfellowshipped tonight!).

  "Theocratic Warfare" - An Apostate Strategy?

  who here had ever heard of this so-called 'doctrine' of "theocratic warfare" when you were a jehovah's witness?

  who has not heard of the so-called doctrine now that you are an apostate?

  so why have witnesses never heard of 'doctrine', yet apostates seem to promote it as the last word on witness standards of honesty, integrity and decency?

  my favourite is an ecological one, the return to existence of all extinct animal and plant species, then some time travel ability to go back and see ancient worlds and participate in them.
