Please folk on this board....have you never learned to give credit where it is due? And without wanting to be controversial, think of the wisdom behind God's and Christ's law of having 'two witnesses', it is not a law made up by the WTS, imagine if you were totally innocent, yet charged? spirtual growth at greatist peak
by the mole inmy sister called me last night and wanted me to go to an assembly with her in san francisco..she has a part on stage...i declined but she stated that her assembly mentioned the jw growth is at its greatist peak and still climbing....i asked if she really believes that and she mentioned all the new congregations in sacramento and auburn area and said the baptisim was so full they had to extend the lunch period.....is there any info to prove her wrong?..i have not gone this year..did any body attend and get this same info?

many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before god's time of judgment, and they will gain salvation.

Hi Seatlle man....your remarks were accepted as sincere, and I guess you are right in many ways, we go to our district assembly next month, so I shall promise to let you know if it is said to that question 'Yes, survivors must be baptised persons living up to the truth.'
Can't imagine it though, a lot of publishers are kids, many not baptised yet, and I have always personally wondered what Christ would do with the ones 'about to be', as 250-300,000 a year are about to be getting baptised, so we must accept it is none of our business, Jehovah appointed Christ as Judge, and we should butt out of even the question......that's my thoughts anyway.
Next time we are in Seattle, will you talk with me?

One can only say that with all the cynicism, and condemnation, is it not time that you accept that the organization is saying to this question' NO, It is not up to us to judge'. If it is a 'correction' from previous;y stronger expressions, why not say 'fair enough' or is that too much to ask? gdt

Update after talking to family services.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE ini rang family services this afternoon.. the woman i spoke to was very helpful and honest.. firstly i told her i had rung because the person that abused my child had been seen by me pushing a toddler in a pram and by a friend of mine tickling and touching children at the meetings.
i expressed how fearful i am for the children in the congo.. she wanted the pedos name, my name, my kid's name etc.
she asked what he did to my kid and when i told her she said he was an abuser..........no kidding!

Bliss, after reading your 486 post and feeling absolutely disgusted, would you like to please give me contact details of the congregation involved? I am concerned both for you firstly, and your child. I am in the truth as you would gather, but as a JP and a marriage celebrant who knows a few contacts both in and out of the brotherhood, it may be possible to be of help if you would trust and let me. My Brother Begged Me To Come Back To Jehovah & His Organization!!!
by minimus ini recieved a 7 page "note" from my brother and his wife pleading with me to come back to jehovah god and his organization.
he said the devil was after me and my family and that the results will be disastrous unless i come back to "jehovah's protective custody".
also, it was strongly implied that unless my family went back to meetings and went out in field service, most jws, including family members would not attend my daughter's wedding and reception.my wife, daughter and i have been overtaken by the devil, according to him.

minibus, somewhere along the line, we (and I am referring to all who claim to be truly Christ-like) must surely learn to stop judging, lest we be judged. I am truly upset and sorry that you are enduring these sort of things, no doubt your family love you very much, and their disappointment at your decisions has over-ridden plain old common-sense as well as true Christianity, but maybe your spreading your brother's letter will be understood to be disloyalty to him and make things much harder for your future communication. From what you say, he is not all that bad even though you disagree with him, but you know it is notgoing to 'pour oil on rough waters' by breaking any confidentiality you have had....anyway please take special care in your thought to post his sincere letter on this board, you have had a lot of opinions offered you and you can't possibly please everyone....just yourself. I offer these thoughts having had many years in the truth, many very hurtful 'human' actions but i have learned it is no benefit to throw stones whilst living in a glass house.

And a sincere PS, may I share your brother's plea, not to re-join the organization as such, but to serve Jehovah God and Christ Jesus in harmony with, and fellowship with, those who are really trying to honour God as his Word advises us.
'that they may be one....' and perhaps 'unitedly in the one frame of mind.'...bit hard eh?.
