i have just decided to start posting, as has another elder "doubting brother" .
i guess that there are perhaps many out there who wish to post but are perhaps nervous.
well that is quite understandable.
It can be very scary to start posting at first. The paranoia is very high !!
I thought that my whole congregation would recognize who I was. But through time Irealized as we all share bascially the same stories, it would be very hard to know who is who , unless you told someone you posted here or displayed your picture
So dont be afraid, the WT are not the secret service,even if they think they are
i am sure there has been a thread about this but i downloaded skype - (free) and i have a webcam and a microphone so i can call friends and family in europe who also have skype and i can talk and see them free of charge - really cool.
anyone of you guys got skype?
So you just need to download it, buy a special skype phone and have your internet switched on ?? but do the reciever of the call also have to have a special phone and their internet switched on before you can contact them ??
i thought i should write a big thanks to simon for this board, not only has it been a big eye-opener to me regarding my past and helped me realise how many people have been through the same stuff as i have, but it's through this board that i've met a wonderful woman, michelle (calico ethel).. michelle is beautiful, intelligent, funny and luckily for me has terrible eyesight, i feel very fortunate to have met her and hopefully (presuming i can keep on hiding her glasses!
) we shall be very happy together in the future.
she has rather recklessly and bravely agreed to move in with me and is moving over at the beginning of february.

i read that david beckham is leaving real madrid and coming to the us to play for the la galaxy.
soccer is not that popular in the us and that is a obscene amount of money to pay a player and i am surprised that david beckham would want to finish out his career playing in the us.

Yes, David is gorgeous and has a real talent but its his wife Victoria I cant stand. With all that pouting and media seeking (pretending she doesnt like it) she really gets on my nerves. She clings on hubby in every photo shoot. I realized she was not genuine when she had her photo taken with a very ill little girl, she was more interested in flicking her hair and posing than the child yuk. Wait till she hits the US media circus full on, she tries to be a "normal" girl next door but shes full of it, be warned!
And shes stick thin and declares she eats like a horse, yeah right !

ok so the wt society is a very wealthy organization, with billions of assets.
for the last few years there seems to be an indication of downsizing in the printing operations, and the publications are becoming more cheaply made, it is apparent they are losing money on the publications.
they can no longer charge for them in the usa and other countries, but only on a donation basis.
When I first came in the truth, I thought the unassuming way the witness carried out the preaching work proved to me they had Jehovahs blessing. Personal contact with ppl going door to door , instead of the TV evangelical way.
After a few years I realized how ineffective our way was, ok they would quote statistics but on a local level I knew we were really accomplishing , not a lot. This was the time of the end, and we were all farting around roaming the streets handing out the WT that people either didnt understand or chucked in the bin.
I still didnt understand it even though I had faded for nearly 3 years, when Terry wrote a topic on why the GB dont want you to be successful. I cant find his topic but I understood for the first time why they wont change the way they do things.
If they think the big A is comming soon I think they would have screamed it from the roof tops and every TV channel !

im testing a naive hypothesis that says that the nt authors were reading from the lxx and that they only saw kurios.
