i have been looking through the almost two thousand music files i've composed/arranged/performed (or just "covered") and have tried to come up with.
a listenable sample that almost anybody might appreciate.
well, music tastes being as eclectic and personal as they are--it ain't an easy task.. if i post some links i'd like anybody willing to wade through these (in your spare time) and let me know which ones you like and don't like.. simple as that, okay?.
Just got done listening to more of these arrangements. Needless to say......I am very impressed and want to know when I can order the CD (if that may take place).
This kind of music does something for me that the mindless, constant replay.....each song played 8 or 9 times in 8 hous on country FM that I am sentenced to at my place of work......and that I have no control over......doesn't do for me.
This old fogie is more than ready to buy and Ipod so I can listen to what I want. lol

hello everybody.. i wanted to share something with you all about something that happened to me last night.. i usually get these things called sleep paralysis, which is where you are alseep and you wake up and you think, oh ill get up now or soemthing, so you go to get up and you cant.. your actually paralysed.
but the strange thign is your awake....?
its very very hard to explain.
This happened to me once about 8 years ago and it was totally unbelievable and scary once I actually did wake up. It was sooooooo real!
I'd prefer if it never happened again because I don't know the cause behind it

I just listened to Snowfall and Music of Goodby. What great music! I found the two selections very relaxing and calming. My emotions were stirred also. I'll be listening to the rest to see how I like it. If they move me like the first two, I'd be more than happy to buy a cd if you decide to go that route.

Wow! There seems to be enough people around Pittsburgh for us to start a "meetup" somewhere..even if it is a one time thing.

my wife and i went to fedex / kinko's this afternoon and ran into a girl who was df'ed several years ago, (her parents are quite the rabid jw's.).
they have two daughters, and the younger one recently got married at the kh.. the older one who we were talking to proceeded to tell us that she decided to attend her younger sisters wedding ceremony which was fine despite the fact that nobody talked to her.. but after the wedding she was basically ushered out of the hall.
she was not allowed to participate in any pictures, or allowed to speak to the new couple.
It's a sick religion! In 1993 when my daughter was getting married to a "who within a year...became a useless JW opportunist".......there were some ultra righteous Jezebels in the KH we attended who said they and their families would not come to the reception if my DF'D mother was coming. This ignorant gossip went around the entire KH and many were going to boycott it. I told my mother that it would not be good if she came. So none of my non JW family attended.
For me and what I learned later from my daughter and my wife.......they were really pissed off at the a..holes from the KH who kind of spoiled the wedding.
Today I am thankful that my daughter and the a..hole she married are now divorced for a number of years and even more thankful that daughter and I have been out of this idiotic religion for over ten years.
By the way........my old KH was the West Mifflin, PA KH. (this is for any lurkers from my area who might be taking a peak) lol

i never would have suuspect this board would do so much for me.
when i registered i had been out of the wts for about 15 years.
the first 10 years i remained a true believer.

I wish I could put my feelings into words like that. What you said so resembles my own search for the real truth that started in 1996. I bought my first computer a month after my wife died in April of 1996 and started searching. Oh, I had my doubts before and when I would take my wife to the library, I would browse the religion stacks and tried to read as much as I could about JW's within a short time limit.
My eyes started to open even more from what I read on the computer. These things were not demon inspired. They were experiences that I could identify with and once I read COC that was the beginning of my exit. Thankfully I shared these things with my daughter who is about a year ahead of me in all things that have to do with exiting this crazy religion.
Today is happyness that we both are living good lives and being productive members of the human race. When the subject of JW's comes up in whatever I am involved in, I speak out and let them know from my own experience that this religion needs to be avoided at all costs.

The bottom line is.......even if Charles Manson got released and claimed conversion to the JW's, all the honchos of the congregation would love bomb him and give him all privileges as long as he got the magic number of 10 hours a month door knocking.
Being a JW is like an open bank vault for any thief/potential murderer/child molester/rapist/con-man/sociopath or whatever to ply his trade as long as he/she says what the "brothers" want to hear.
