I just checked my list of books read and 25 of L'Amour's books are on it. I love his books and my favorites are the ones about the Sacketts.
Every time I go to the thrift store for books, I always look for his books I haven't read yet.

by koolaid-man init was thrilling to participate in the world wide protest, jan, 21-23 2011 exposing the watchtower organization for their policies on deliberately breaking up up families.
we thank all those involved this past weekend for their passion and commitment to help free those trapped in falsehood.
i am aware that many on this forum do not believe in protesting against the watchtower society,and i respect their position.

I think Rick is a sensationalist. Something like secondary market..low rated TV news when they make a mountain out of a molehill. He really wants to be somebody! But it "ain't" gonna happen. What would you expect from an ex elder who was never somebody in their life and then made it to the "rank" of ELDER in the JW's? I've seen it many times. Someone who could not have any authority or be over anybody in their family supporting job......they become elders and then they think they have arrived. It consumes them! And many of us ex JW's became their victims.
Rick, why don't you channel your efforts to something worthwhile? You will never make a dent in the WT. Let it go and enjoy the rest of your life.
You will never be another Ray Franz, Bill Bowen or Barbara Anderson.

As at anyother time, I either would not answer their knock. If I opened the door to see who it is and they were JW's, I'd just say "not Interested". On the other hand, if I opened the door and saw a JW I used to know, then I'd make some small talk and dismiss them. But if they tried to be persistent, then I would have to come back with the knowledge I now have that they are not the "truth". I'm pretty sure they would leave shortly!
I think I might have gone out Christmas Eve day but don't remember doing it on Christmas day. As a family we didn't think it was very nice to mess up their holiday.
When I was an elder, it seems that the powers that be would always schedule me to take the lead on most holidays. I always made an excuse not to do it though!

I destroyed @30 jw's today in field service
by JunkYardDog in2 wt zombies came to my door today.
and i opened a can of woop a$$ on them.. i did the whole history of wt false prophecies on them and asked them to show me the gospel of 1914?
they couldn't and i followed them up and down the street proclaiming they were false teachers and couldn't talk their way out of a paper bag with a knowledgeable apostate.

Find your old Assembly Hall...
by Hecklerboy ini was doing some investigation on google maps for a trip i'm making to pittsburgh, pa next week.. come to find out the the place i'm going is only a few mile from the assembly hall i spent allot of time at as a kid.
looking at this pictures bring back allot of memories.
some good, some bad.. anybody else attend this assembly hall in coraopolis, pa?.

Lot's of good places to eat in the area and I wouldn't mind a meetup, but I work Monday through Friday. If you want to send me a PM as to when you will be there, maybe we can work something out. My husband's first exposure to being shunned by family ......
by troubled mind infriday we were in the grocery store shopping .both of us were in a very good mood because our son was coming home for a visit ,and we were planning on some fun activities .
then around the end of the aisle comes by husbands sister in law ( she is married to his step brother that is an elder) we nearly bump into her literally we are that close ...so i say ," oh hi ***** !
" she would not even look at us and the expression on her face gave me chills ..pure contempt .

It's a shame that thing like this have to happen. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones with no direct family still in! In the past ten years, I've only run into two JW's that I used to be associated with and they were very nice even though I don't bother with the "truf" any more. I'm sure that they don't know that I am a complete apostate. lol
I have one JW brother-in-law who lives in North Carolina that was always friendly with me in spite of my fade, but for about 5 years now he doesn't even acknowledge me. I kind of miss him and his family. He had a heart attack two months ago and I sent him a very nice card. Never heard anything from him!
Oh well.....at least I have my XJW daughter and she loves me to no end! That gives me smiles and happiness. Hence my name..................

Bottom line is......they don't want you to be enlightened to anything that makes you think! If you learn to look into yourself and the bad things that happened to you.....you may well discover that you don't have to be a WT zombie anymore. That's what scares them! You just might point the (truthful and well deserved) finger at them as the source of all your problems and anxieties.
