william and grace kill from oxfordshire, southern england, found the note inside a card posted to them a month previously by a church congregation, thanking the couple for giving a talk.
Sad state of affairs I'm afraid. Stealing mail and checking for credit cards, cheques, cash etc. is big game in this country - I've been a victim of it myself and would like to get my hands on the little bastards that stole it!!!!!

my mom had her valve replacement and triple by-pass surgery today.
the operation lasted five hours, and they had just gotten her to her room at 8:00pm when she went into cardiac arrest.
the doctor tried everything, even opening up her chest and massaging her heart.

A few of you have mentioned that you can't easily change a personality - which I agree with. I'm still pretty much the same person I was as a dub...
....however....
everything is more relaxed, more natural now. I no longer feel stifled, or have to control my humour, taste, opinions or language any more (except when I'm visiting my mom! )
I don't think essentially I'd have liked to change my personality.....I happen to like me - those that don't, well who gives a shit about them anyway?

i am definitely no longer a jw (11 years).
that having been said, living in a "democratic" land, the one thing that is challenging is agreeing with freedom of religion, but also protesting when it becomes offensive.
don't get me wrong..... my family shuns me completely and i do think that it is "offensive", and against the laws of nature, which makes the point even more legitimate...... : do they really know what they are doing?

Anyways, I dunno, it isn't all that good of a way to change people in ANYTHING by yelling the bad points of something cause they'll just remind themselves of the good about it and dismiss the bad like almost everybody do when they believe in something
Whenever you go into an 'offensive' attack, the natural reaction for anyone is to become 'defensive', put up walls about whatever is being attacked, and everything gets ignored. Tactful reasoning is usually your best weapon.
Having said all that, sometimes it feels just plain fantastic to have a good old rant, doesn't it!!

I spent 2 1/2 yrs fighting through courts to get access to my little girl, and at times never thought I'd see the day when she was allowed to stay with me. I still check on her every now and then, and remind myself how lucky I am!!

the ones you have to turn off before you... a) cry your eyes out... b) get so angry you would like to curse out loud, or... d) you dont care, you like to be reminded of your past flings.. for me it would have to be anything from seal, or hootie and the blowfish, and anything jazz.

I still get a bit bleary eyed at REM singing Everybody Hurts. My first marriage nearly broke me mentally and emotionally, and this song was released around the time I had finally taken enough crap to leave her.
She always used to listen to Stock Aitken and Waterman crap, like Kylie Minogue (early days shite) and Jason Donovan, so I have no issues turning the radio off if that crap comes on!!
