Latest films you saw?

what's the latest film that you watched on dvd or cinema and would you recommend it or was it bad boring film?

i haven't watched any films for months now but i will when i restart my satellite tv subscription next month.

V for Vendetta. Very good movie! Sort of 1984ish. I love that V posts here now too.

probably not, but interesting nonetheless.. if you take a look at the knocking website, you will notice at the bottom of each page is a list of supporters.

I just checked the list of movies for our (Milwaukee) international film festival and am happy to report that "Knocking" is not on the list here.

question for Atheists with children?

what do you tell your children about god or his lack of existance?

i know i have a long time before i have to deal with this but my jw mom did ask me what i will teach my son about god.

i have no plans to tell him god is real.

Here's a thought. Why not take it from the Humanist angle (humanist's that are agnostic or atheist and generaly believe in evolution). Here's a link from the Humanist Society's page on resources for families. You will notice books for children that would teach some of the things you are talking about but also principles most people would want to instill in their children.

i can see how someone could be agnostic in their view.

who knows, who cares?

thinking that perhaps "god" is just a spiritual santa claus for people who are afraid of death, etc..... but atheism?

Perhaps it depends on your' definition of an Atheist. There is a difference between an "Atheist" and a "non-theist" for instance.

this was about 1967. i was about 23. i still have the jazz and the fender amp.
