  thank jeehover i'm out of that gd cult.. spent the afternoon at uwm signing up for my schedule for architectural school.

  34 and a freshman, lol...thank the almighty jeehover i look 25, have all of the hair on my head and no hair anywhere else otherwise i'd look a bit outta place with the rest of the freshman today.. for all you n00bs, get the hell outta that cult and start living your life in the real world.

  i have been carrying my secret for 12 long years.. i told my wife long ago that i was once a witness.

  i told her how i was exiled from the congragation 12 years ago after a bout of domestic violence between me and my unbelieving father.

  I was in this same situation. Pretty sucky eh? I remember not hardly being able to talk to therapists or really anyone. Takes time, now people have a hard time getting me to shut up...lol. The elders definitely won't help though, in fact they add to the abuse. You are right not to care about the woman's marriage. That's her problem. If you want the elders to know about it I suggest either writing a letter to them and keeping a copy or having the therapist help you. PM me anytime. Good luck!

  it's weird.

  i haven't been to a meeting in eight years, but at least once a month, i have a dream that i'm at a meeting or out in service or at an assembly or in some other witness-related situation.

  it's like those school dreams where you dream you have a calculus final that morning and you haven't been to class all semester.

  i've just finished reading this book

  i was brought up in the society, seen the elder arrangement brought in, seen changes and in fighting - and finally sttof down as a snr circuit elder in england because of the abuse issue and the society covering up.

  i have also the seen the society flee and cya because of the data protection act in the uk.

  I didn't get the sense Ray Franz was bitter at all. Perhaps he was a bit upset about all this but aren't we all. He came across very fair to me in the two books I have read of his. Plus, at the time I was having my final elders meeting I was e-mailing with Franz. He was very helpful and didn't seem bitter or try to get me feeling bitter at all.

  I brought it up to 2 elders among a list of many other questions which they wrote down. I was already without any "privileges" at the time. The one elder laughed about it in disbelief and said some "inactive brother" had recently mentioned it to him as well. They had no answer for it or for the other items on my list and said they would do some checking and get back to me. They never did. It is possible they talked with the C.O. about it though because 2 weeks later when he was at the hall I re-introduced myself to him and shook his hand and he said very sharply, 'i know who you are...'. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I da'd myself 6 months later.
