Since it's multiple choice I would have to go with:
C. LIBERAL
i would've called myself moderate leaning toward liberal.

Welcome! This is pretty crazy. I remember canoeing with Austin and Gary when I was like 18 or something. Austin wasn't very old then I don't think. I didn't even realize there was another one of you guys...lol.
I just visited your website. Very cool! You even have a date set for doing a gig in Rapids...how bizzare. Too me that is. Very cool!
Just as a reminder to any Wisconsin folks out there. If you are from the Milwaukee area and I haven't met you yet please PM me if you would be interested in one of our ex-dubby meet-ups.
Again...Welcome "Your Faith"!!!
i actually have been reading these forums for about two years now and just decided to finally register.
where does one go to make a proper intro post?
edit: alrighty then, i guess i will do my little intro here.
Welcome Ruby! I will be looking foward to reading your' posts.

has anyone ever seen a situation where the wts disfellowhiped someone who is autistic, retarded or otherwise mentally challenged?.
i wonder if the elders give them more leeway knowing that they are not always capable of making decisions as well as a normal person.. .
I have an uncle who use to take walks through the woods and all of a sudden thought he was in the new system...he was schizophrenic. He ended up in a mental institution where they introduced him to smoking in order to calm him. He was d'fed and has been for over 25 years.
A cousin of mine who is what we always called "slow" (actually borderline retarded on the side of the retarded line), was df'd over 10 years ago as well.
My ex father-in-law elder who has been an elder for over 25 years stated to me that even a mentally retarded person knows the difference between right and wrong.
i don't post much and this is the first thread i've ever started so please bear with me.
i wanted to give my obsevations on the 2005 "godly obedience" district convention.if the things i say are redundant, i apologize.
anyways, i was coerced into going by my daughter.
Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for--the part, "What Does The Bible Really Teach?" The speaker made the comment that we should ignore " superstition about the Bible's origin and authorship" Yeah like the Bible's claim of divine inspiration despite hundreds of pages of God-approved blood-thirsty carnage or the looney laws such as how to tell if one's wife has been unfathful (by making her drink dirty water-if she gets sick--Bingo!-Num.5:11-28)
Even the facts about the bible being man-written are called a superstition by the WTBS I see....hmmmm....
i think we need to remember that most of the gb are about ready to kick the bucket, and that effects the way they will try to steer the organization because they have the majority of the vote they are not thinking very long term.. they must know all thier failed predictions and that the end is not really close,, so really they are concerned only about thier own a$$es and want to have a nice position of power and prestiegde up until they die.
they really don't give a rat ass what happens to the org or the publishers when they are dead and gone.
the younger ones(minority) may have concerns that stretch a little more into the future, but only as far as they personally will live.. if we keep in mind the advanced age of these men we may better understand thier voting patern, which should reflect each ones private concerns.
According to Ray Franz's books things won't change. Replacements are in the "same mold" as the predecessor's. The "politics" of the borg always seem to ebb and flow a little but never see true reform. I believe more of the same is to come. There are plenty of hardliners in the borg left to be used for replacements. Cult mindsets already in place require it.
finally, i will look at biblical and patristic evidence bearing on the crucifixion of jesus in particular.
we need to examine the earliest known descriptions of the kind of crucifixion adopted by the romans and the specific terms they used to refer to it.
apparently the society believes that crux still meant "stake" in the second century a.d., when tacitus composed his annals.
Wow! I will certainly store this away for future use as well. Thank you so much!
i just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.
i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.
out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.
Good luck with your' wife Tetrapod!
from may 1984 to december 1986, ronald e. frye put out a monthly newsletter called, "the christian respondent.
" it was a balanced newsletter that addressed jw issues, usually from a current "watchtower" or "awake!
" from a christian point of view.
I believe he can still be contacted through BRCI.
dear friends and fellow forum members...it has come to the point in my planning of the 1st annual apostacheesefest at my home; that i really haven't the faintest idea of how to run this thing.
i am actually quite "socially retarded" and have not had a large gathering at my home since...hmmmmm...since i don't know when!
so i beseech anyone out there who has attended or put on an apostafest...what are some good ideas to make it easy for me and yet fun for everyone.
Just keep the pool filled with beer Cathy, all will be fine. Oh and take a DEEP breath, relax, no elders will be watching...
