  Exodus 16 - Manna

  shortly after the exodus from egypt, the bible account of events records that god provided manna for the israelites to eat (exodus 16:10-15).

  the israelites asked "what is it?

  " (vs 15), and the word manna was derived from that very question.. could manna have been a naturally occuring substance?

  Will the anointed remnant survive Armageddon?

  i always thought that was what the society teaches.

  in fact, haven't there been discussions about how we know the end has to be near because the number of the anointed remnant is decreasing, but there still have to be a few on the earth when armageddon comes to help get the educational work organized in the new world?.

  well, i ran across this article today from the 9-1-89 wt pages 20 and 21, paragraphs 12 and 13. i was attending back then.

  Just to clarify, the "anointed" more specifically the "faithful and discreet slave" must be present through Armageddon.

  That does not mean they have to survive it.

  The WTS has never stated there would be a period that the FDS would be absent until Jesus returns in judgement (post-Armageddon): " Happy is that slave if his master on a rriving finds him doing so."

  ok.....i downloaded the two parts of the obey symps and the return to the shepherd of your souls demo.. i made it through listening to the return to shepherds demo.

  though it was full of the usual guilt inducing fare, it was short and barely tolerable though i found myself rolling my eyes all the way through.

  but upon starting to listen to part one of the obeys, i got that familiar feeling......the mind wandering on other "more important" things, the hypnotic droning on of the speaker lulling me to sleep, the realization that i just can't stomach listening to that crap.. i couldn't make it more than a couple of minutes through the talk till i had to turn it off.

  last year i thought i would share my diligent notes and show what it was like at the core of the organization.. not this year.

  for a learning experience, i decided to stray from the active ones and see what everyone else was doing during this convention.

  perhaps this would be special since the whole theme of the dc was "godly obedience".

  There were no parking attendants, and all the worldly people were courteous and took turns leaving.

  Hehe. Yeah, the JW "spiritual paradise" only exists if you don't compare it to the outside world.

  During the Saturday closing prayer, the brother actually mentioned the 'heat and traffic' in the context of maintaining 'a good witness'. There's nothing more entertaining then seeing a JW stopped by the police outside the convention center.

  I've "witnessed" that many a time.

  my mum lives next door to a little newsagents shop run by an asian family.

  i used to live there, and i had the phone number of mr badat because sometimes people used to try and break in.

  mr badat died last year and a younger moslem family took over.

  I know many Muslims and were raised around them. They are good people and very courteous. They raise their children with a strong moral code and have a beautiful claim on culture, architecture and science.

  BUT, they belong to a cult. Far more dangerous in scope than any other cult I know of.

  The cult of Mohammed got its start in warfare and slaughtered its way into status through fear and repression.

  Just like Christains, except that Jesus wasn't a warlord.

  Will anyone dare to agree that Muslims are also a victim of their own religion?

  • Orthodox Islam teachs "us vs them", that's right you are the infidel.
  • Repression of women
  • Sick ideas about heaven and hell (if you though fire was bad, deal with "puss"!).

  Don't blast me for ignorance. I've studied Islam in my 'quest'. Mohammed's cult is the youngest "world religion" - and it acts like it.

  In an XJW forum like this, you have got to identify cults when you see them. Pity the fool for his shackles.
