I don't want to be on Paradise Earth without Christ-- It is all rubbish apart from Christ.

Well, as soon as old J-boy decides to come back to earth and cures AIDS, cancer, and pays my bills for a month, then maybe I'll believe in his hokum. Otherwise, I'd be kidding myself.....the only real 'evidence' of God is the gooey feeling people have when they think of Him (or Her).

The only real rubbish is believing in something that has never directly affected you. You might as well believe that Zues still rules on Mount Olympus.

Of course not, no rational being would.

So, this particular Christian God (which I assume you're speaking of), makes the Universe, and let's mankind suffer for thousands of years because of a 'bet' with one of his kids in heaven. In all of this, if there wasn't a reward, how many people would believe in a Christian God?

Let me put it this way; how many of those older 'Pagan' gods that were only for one purpose (ex. Mars, god of war) are still actively worshipped today? And why? Because they can give no applicable reward to the modern person.

There's nothing like an escape from reality that makes people happy. Just like a drug.

Jehovah gets all the credit

i remember hearing (probably on the organization behind the name video) that there is no author listed on any watchtower publication, therefore all "praise" is given to jehovah god.. what a rip off.

if someone who has written articles in the wt or awake gets kicked out leaves bethel and needs to go work in the real world, he can't use any of the articles he wrote in his port folio.

I don't think it has anything to do with that. I just think it's a device so that the people who wrote the articles won't be held responsible for the content when their little prophecies don't come true. It also moves the theory that GOD writes this instead of men. UGH.

the issue is dealing with american milestones.

some of the articles include 100 documents that define our nation to the one i am going to post.

but not for people that are capable of working to live on it.

I've known both groups. I've known truly disabled people, or single mothers who were left hanging by the jerk husband, and this provision was a lifesaver. The unskilled mother of 3 certainly couldn't afford a babysitter on a minimum wage job. The husband was taking care of it, and he left. That I agree with.

Still, others, even on my own street, were on welfare, making babys with multiple fathers, like it was a business. Irresponsible scum.

As for benefits for rich people, that makes me sick: giant tax breaks for corporations. Want to know how to not cut jobs, even create them???? DON'T GIVE THE FREAKIN' CEO'S GIANT RAISES EVERY YEAR.

I hate rich people.

Anyone who can't understand the thread is lucky enough to have had a life that didn't warrant too many bad eggs...unfortunatly, my life had been rife with them. The fact that I would only voodoo the mom-in-law is a testimony to my own patience.

Internet stalking..

...sounds wierd to me, has anyone here truely been affected by it or accused of it mistakenly?

i imagine either is quite disturbing.. dang, i only play around on here and other sites, i enjoy the people who play back and we give as good as we get.

but my intention is to never stalk anyone, so if anyone ever thinks i'm stalking some pretty lady, let me know and i'll back of before you can even say the words "acute paronia".. i'm a very happy married man, wouldnt trade my wife for the world.

I also am a happily married man, but if I flirt with you, will that make you uncomfortable? If I tell you that I go to sleep with a kitty picture by my bedstand and whisper Khalil Girban poetry to it, would that disturb you? What if I called the picture Brummie? Huh???? How about it then!?!?!
