It seems that they have issues they are acting out and using the religion as an excuse for thier disfuntional treatment of you. There is no reason on earth why a parent should treat their own child so hatefully excep that there is something lacking in thier own personality and way of parenting, and having disfunctional behavior displayed by using twisted reasoning of their religious interperatation of how to behave toward you.

Doctrine or Scripture?

anyway, he gave a few reasons why he believes the jws have the "truth" such as the scripture that says "it is better to not have known the truth at all than have known the truth and walked away".
okay, at the time i was too upset to think rationally and say, "okay, which scripture would that be?

Tab, the WT takes the truth of what is in the Bible and changes it and twists it and goes beyond it, an distorts it. For instance, when the WT magazine refered to elders as the 'glorious ones" spoken about in Jude. They have taken the truth of what the scriptures say and become apostate in their teaching.

And it is JWs who are only loved by Him and he will crush and put an end to everyone else on earth. Guess what you are going to grow old and die just like everyone else does. You may be you and cocky now. Take your hatred somenwhere else, like back at the old KH. it started at the begining of the school year and now yesterday the b*tch pulled my kids hair so hard she felt it an hour later.
two teachers know of the situation and have told my kid to just ignore it.

A bully will not pick on one who gives back physical consequences. I am so sorry your daughter is going through this. Mine did too until she retaliated. My sons also had experiences like this and when they retaliated even in fear of gettting hurt, it was worth it because the bully never chose them again to inflict physical pain.

by ScoobySnax ini don't think i've made any apology for my leanings here towards jws, whilst i don't imagine most here will agree with me, i just think its good sometimes to redress the balance on this forum in a small way to let people who might be reading/lurking/ know that.. despite feeling messed up a bit in my own head about which direction i want/have to take in my own life, and despite many struggles as deep and traumatic as many have experienced here, i still hold jws as a group in the highest esteem.
i can remember what it was like to try and do the "right" thing and follow the way of the truth, it was bloody hard, and i fell down many times.
i always used to try and pick myself up dust myself down and start over again, sometimes with success for longer periods than others.

Scooby, that support net you speak of is conditional. Their friendship is not based on love for you but on condional love in the hope of restoring you to thier JW club. No matter how much you are suffering, they will abandon you even if they have been your "friend" for over 25 years, if you speak negatively about the organization and it having a role in your suffering. They can't bear to hear that. It can be compared to a family protecting an abusive member to protect th family name. The WT org is like an abusive, perpetrating father being protected by his abused family members who are co-dependents in denial. They actually enable the abusive behavior by allowing it on other family members without reporting it or running away from it. It is the same mental condition that exists in abusive religions.
