Glad to hear it Stuck! I should probably email her but I've been so busy. Too much going on in August with my own exjw stuff. I miss her here too. I know what it's like to need to just work on life and it's tough to dedicate energy to that and exjw stuff at the same time.

Why aren't the JDubs receiving more bad publicity concerning the abuse cover-ups?
by Sour Grapes ini know that the jdubs think that they are the center of the universe and in actuality, no one except ex-jdubs gives a rats ass about these religious crazies.
my question is i read that as a percentage of pedophiles per members, that the percentage is larger in the watchtower company than in the catholic church.
i would think that would catch someones attention in the media and make a good story.. what really pisses me off is the watchtower cult is gloating about all of the negative press the catholics are receiving concerning pedophiles not even knowing that the jdubs have thousands of sexual abuse cases that have been covered over.

@Doubter - let's say 500 kids per country were molested and the prevailing method of handling it, whether in writing or not, was to discourage members from going to the police and to handle it congregationally. Lets say 100. Whatever. How do you feel about it?

Well, Jehovah's Witnesses do have a history of silencing anyone they can, hiding the little men behind curtains, so what's one reporter. They can certainly turn her away if they want. It doesn't look good given the subject matter, but they are who we thought them to be. It's not exactly shocking. -

Well, that makes sense. If it wasn't my parents who were hypocrites, it was the cult of JWs. It was learning that I had been told so many lies by the cult, including my parents, that I started looking at the Bible itself. After all, it was the basis for everything I had believed. I soon realized that it wasn't credible either. So indirectly my parents had something to do with it, but the reality is that faith is something you have to manufacture and put onto something else, whether that be your parents, religious ideologies, a book, a particular deity, etc.

On occasion I've had something delivered the same day without paying extra for it. We do live near a hub though. I don't know if I'd ever pay extra for same day. Maybe if it was something for my business and I ran out and couldn't source it locally.
