This was great all the way through but I particularly enjoyed the ending with the image of the governing body and the remark about mental illness for partakers. So true.

The mods and admins shut it down for reasons pinned on their March 30 post. They're tired of managing people that don't follow rules and are taking a break.

Vast Apostate Army handout
by Bill3rd into whom it may concern : after seeing the expose' on ctv`s program w5 called "no witnesses", i would like to find some way to obtain a few copies of the handouts which were used by the "vast apostate army".
can anyone send me a contact email to the "vast apostate army" and to zeb leatherman or parker bryan or tricia franginha ( spelling ?
t. just today i watched the "recruitment video" for the "vast apostate army"; the sound quality on my laptop was not the greatest but i say kudos to all those mostly younger people and a couple middle aged guys for taking this stand.. for a few years i have been in fairly regular contact by email with rev.

This all sounds kind of preachy to me and very strange. If you want someone's information why not find and contact them. Zeb isn't here. He is on YouTube and you can contact him there. As is the Vast Apostate Army, I believe.
Most of us are atheists and having religions reach out to us wouldn't help at all. We don't need other churches to indoctrinate the vulnerable into their ideologies. What we needed was space, to be left alone, to find our own way, not to get sucked into other nonsense.
Other than getting the contact information and a pamphlet, I'm not sure that I was able to decipher the point of that wall of text.
I also disagree with the attack and destroy methodology. People will open their eyes only when they're ready. We just have to put information out in many ways so that they can find it in their way on their own timetable.

Memorial
by whatisthis12 inso i’ve been dating my boyfriend for over a year.
he left the jehovah witness community and we have been living together for one year.
he hasn’t kept in contact with his family because he was disfellowshipped and hasn’t gone to any meetings.

Unless a person has truly broken free from the cult mentally, and most disfellowshipped people leave for behavioral matters and not because they mentally left, you should be worried. The indoctrination can lie dormant and present itself at any time in leading them back to the cult unless it has been rooted out down deep. The pull of family takes many back to the cult.

Two witness rule: Stop using it, its not working on JWs!
by StephaneLaliberte inmost jws don't see this as a problem.
they reason that.
just like the jws, the police will not convict a pedophile over the story of one victim alone, there must be collaborative evidence.

I agree and have seen it expressed here before. The two witness rule is the wrong focus. It should be the difference between a crime and a sin, that such matters should be taken to those trained to handle it, not elders. Police involvement should be the only way, not merely "not discouraged" as they say like the weasels they are but rather "encouraged as the means to handle crimes". The JWs have no reason to ever even hear these cases in the first place. It should be taken away from them. The two witness rule is then irrelevant.

Being a JW kid is hell
by JRK inin therapy, i was told i should write a letter of grievances to each of my parents.
i really do not have any for my mother, except for things that directly relate to being raised as a jehovah's witness.
upon reflection, my childhood was hell because of the religion and its pernicious corruption of a normal childhood.

Oh buddy, that's a tough topic. It is hell for many. I'm so sorry about your mom's reaction over the molestation and that guy's death. That's so messed up and indicative of the way they compartmentalize things and hide what they don't want to see.
I have to ask, was your mom raised a JW?
I ask because my parents weren't. They had no clue what bullshit they put us through as kids to support their cult club.
I was bullied a lot in school. It wasn't all due to JW stuff, but that made it all so much worse and guaranteed that I'd always be different.
Also, screw my parents for always putting JW stuff above us. We couldn't go camping because we'd have to do so on thr weekend and might have to miss some boring, repetitive meeting. I spent so many evenings after school going out in hot cars to knock on doors so my parents could play pioneer for month.
I never mattered to them. Not truly. The damn cult meant everything. We were always a distant second place, at best, an afterthought maybe if we were lucky. We were a problem to be controlled, a potential detriment to their status and perfect little appearance in the cult.

Lloyd’s new book
by jwfacts ini see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.
this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.
i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.

@Morpheus- Could not the questions that you posed to Paul be asked of you? What are you trying to do, influence him? Why is it so important for you to call Lloyd names and to speak badly of him? I can't understand your seeming desire to get us to dislike him as you do. And using the term "dilly dilly" doesn't negate the rest of your words. Dear baby jesus, you even told Paul what he's unduly influenced by and tried to negate what angle he was coming from.
You two feel different. If it's truly a dilly-dilly situation, why do you continue to go after his views? It looks like you really want him to feel as you do.
Did you say you wrote a book or am I confusing you with OTWO? If you did I'd like a link to check it out.
We need ALL of the voices we can get. I wasn't a fan of the KH crashers myself and railed about them being counter productive and then one of my podcast interviews crashed his own KH and had some good results from it. It's easy to sit back and criticize things we have no real experience with.
I always thought podcasts were easy. Damn, they're so much more work than I thought. I even wasted part of a Saturday waiting to interview a guy that ghosted me after setting an appointment with me. I applaud anyone that can jump in the mix. It's not easy, even if a person were a narcissistic douchebag. I don't like some of the activists out there, but I just keep my mouth shut about them because it does no good to critcize as they are helping people. I might be the one labeled as the douchebag for putting myself above those activists and looking down on them, and maybe they'd be right.

i've just started looking into it but there seems to be a lot of conflicting ideas over accuracy so i'm unsure what to think.

@Venus- Which wonderful part of god's personality drew you in most? His genocidal tendencies? The way he loves to kill animals with impunity? His encouragement of rape? His inability to inspire a coherent and clear letter to his beloved creation? Hey, it's vague enough to let people's emotions read in what they want, so maybe that's good? Ooooh, maybe dashing kids against rocks? That shows his whimsy. Who wouldn't like that?
If evidence to the contrary "stokes your fire" to remain the same, then you're running on emotion so discussing anything with you is pointless.
Also, bowing to this Meyer guy first when god clearly put him in your life to bring you to Him shows a lack of faith. Sackcloth and ashes for you buddy.
By the way, anchors in life keep you stuck in one place, and no growth can take place.
