a couple of artists used to sink their initials into every illustration they did that way their JW relatives would know they were the ones who made the illustration. The WT doesn't let people take credit for writing articles or the wonderful illustrations, that usually drives people crazy not getting recognized for the work they do so they find a way to sign it without "signing it".
Yes, thank you. I would agree that this may very well be the case. The recurring "E" is what I have been most curious about, however. It has been seen in varioius pieces that do not seem to be from the same artist, based only on the difference of style and technique used. Not an authority here.
