It was always so exciting, staying in a hotel, buying some new outfits, planning where we were going to eat each day....who would be joining us.....and looking forward to meeting hottie boyz....oh what to wear what to wear.....I also liked the chees danishes but by the last day, I had enough.....what I really hated was the nap attack either right b4 lunch or 2pm shorthly after, and it took all you had not to nod off, you just so unspiritual for getting the sleepies.....

I have music for every mood, I'm constantly burning CD's to get the right mix....
My taste is very, very eclectic.....
Lounge, Electronic, Folk, Neo-folk, Latino, Tango, flamenco, piano tunes....you name it, I have it...some rock...I love Linkin Park, as far as rap, I liked a lot of Eminem older stuff.....Hip hop.....not a lot of country, not much into that twang thang.....I never listen to the radio, because it doesn't always fit my mood of music.....

I don't understand the fascination with higher ups. I have to admit when I was younger (and in) I got caught up too, but now looking at it rationally I can't understand it.
I would imagine it's because they are so close to the communications and the food handed down by Jehovah God's faithful and discreet slave class, and every one is hanging on waiting for what new and inspiring information they will deliver...and it ends up being the same 'ol crap but somehow they fish out of the sermon something they are in awe over, when in reality it's just repitition with perhaps a little different wording...or said with different emphasis, that sends everyone clapping.....

Did you exhibit some wierd behaviour ...
by Brummie in...when exiting the watchtower?
i thought i was going absolutely mad.
told lies and invented other stories and scenerios to hide the fact that i was coping with coming out of a cult.

I broke out in hives, big welts formed on back, ran up my torso, pretty soon my lip had a hive....it was so wierd. my mom took me to the emergency room, no allergic reaction to anything.....final diagnosis was stress. After a cortison shot and anti-histamine, it went away, never came back.

So I go to my first day of work.....
by missy04 in.
and behind the front desk, i see someone who looks familiar.. only when she turns and looks at me do i realize she is a witness i know.. so the lady who did my bible study, it's her daughter that is working with me.
i just find it funny...you just can't run and you definitely can't hide from these people!.

funny thing, it just reminded me of a travel job I had in Chandler, AZ....one of the girls that worked there was a witness, only we did not know each other, she was a really nice, funny girl....anyway, somehow when they shifted our seating arrangement around she and I ended up sharing a cubicle.....I was df'd already so I just pretended I was just one of the other "worldly" girls in the office. Every morning she would read her daily text...sometimes outloud to me, she was really comical.....we became great friends, we'd go out to lunch together, we'd talk about our love life...she was married and was concerned that her husband wasn't attracted to her anymore.....well, we eventually got too close for comfort for me and I ended up applying for another job, just because, I liked her so much and I didn't want the whole DF thing to get in the way.
Sorry for going off on own experience....but glad you had a good first day, hope it doesn't make you too uncomfortable working in the same office atleast you'll be doing different things it sounds like.

1st if you are staying near O'hare your best bet (if you don't want to take a car) is get on the Blue Line and get off at the Jefferson Park stop, from there take the 92 Foster bus heading west and get off at Clark, Rezas is about a couple blocks north on Clark to Farragut.
If you were staying somewhere downtown you could take the Red Line north (to Howard) and get off at Berwyn, it's maybe about a 5 block walk from there.
There's lots of parking at my house and it's very easy to get to from the airport with minimal congestion, so those are a few options.
If you want you can also download a CTA map.

this might help too

just a thought, is Reza's close to the El? we were hoping to not have to drive once we made it to the hotel. also, i'm kinda hoping to head into downtown saturday on the train. any takers?
If you are staying at the hotel near O'hare, than no, you cannot take the train to Rezas, Rezas is a couple of blocks to the 'Red' line....
O'hare is the Blue line.....you'd have to take a train and bus, and the bus suck, waaaay too long.....PM me, if anyone wants park by my house and cab it to Rezas.....I live in the city just a little south west of that neighborhood....
