NEW RELIGION! NEED INPUT!
by TR inthis is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.
we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.
we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

Hey Everyone this just keeps getting better,
Deacon! I like the way you think. Don't hold back, all of those are justifiable expenses. You are an inspiration to us all.
Mommy,
Child care is a service that is in great demand today. I see $$$$$$$! You'll want to incorporate some type of learning structure into this, we'll call it the LWHBF School. You'll need to start assembling your staff. I think there's a pretty good chance of securing Federal or State funding, possibly both, we'll have to turn that over to the guys and gals in Legal.
TW,
How about us making some chick flicks? Oh, you meant the other kind of chick flicks.
Venice,
Vegas works, but how about (Lake) Tahoe? I think we'll need to sponser our own games. Maybe some LWHBF Bingo?
Zazu,
I couldn't agree more with the door to door peddling, that is sooooo 20th century! We'll use the net of course. Simon can help you with this.
Red,
I wanted to have a little word with you about this wisdom thin..............Hey, whats going on...STOP, NO! Get OUT, out of my MIIIIIINddddddddddddddd................
-------
Hello, Father Amical here.
Zazu, it's a pleasure to see you again my child.
Red, so nice to see another immortal here. Your Holy Vestments look quite fetching, by the way. Pay no attention to that foolish human Amicus, those mortals take such a short term view of things! I couldn't help but notice that you have a riding crop, and -ahem- a STUD chain. I was just thinking, if you only had a mounting block, you and I could make some loooooooong term plans here. This could be, well..... divine. -

NWT
by amicus inwhen reading the new world translation i used to sometimes think, who translated this gobbledygook?..
i just read another passage where the nwt manages to slaughter the english language.. acts 21:30 .
nwt ...., and a running together of the people occurred:.... kjv ..., and the people ran together:.... niv ..., and the people came running from all directions.. this is an excerpt from the foreword of the nwt; it is a very responsible thing to translate the holy scriptures........into modern speech.

GeneBean,
Just a little "aside" here. The last male that groped a woman on this DB was staked out over an anthill, in the desert. We thought he got off easy. You should have seen the others!
Let's stick with Baccanalia. K?Edited by - amicus on 4 February 2001 22:37:52

As a cut-and-paster I missed the last few contributions on this thread. I would like to just make a few recommendations to the Governing Body concerning suggestions that we received before I even asked for suggestions (cooool). Bacchanalia YES,groping, no.

As you can see from my picture, I've spent many hours in that cave, too. It was difficult to find, in that there are not many caves found on "very tall mountain(s)." I guess that's why it's called the Holy Hole of WiseGuys.
Java,
Your gray hair serves you well. You’re not only wise, you are brilliant!
The Holy Hole of Wise Guys!
My duties as Account Servant compel me to be concerned with the financial viability of the “Lost Who Have Been Found”. You just gave me THE idea for our first economic venture. “The Hermit Cave timeshare, aka the Holy Hole of Wise Guys/Gals”.
We’ll have to develop a marketing plan, and of course fluff it out a bit, but I see it as something like this;
Four Known Paths to Wisdom
1. read every Awake magazine ever written (very time consuming, and critically boring)
2. study and faithfully follow the writings of Larc as taught by TR/JT (not as time consuming as #1, and far more interesting, but no shortcut either)
3. Get to be chummy with some god or goddess and hope for some special gift (not very likely, -btw Red did I ever tell you how much I LOVE horses, and cats, and how much I enjoy your …..)
4. Visit the Holy Hole of Wise Guys. -Two weeks of R&R and ya’ got it baby! (the obvious choice)
Keep the idea’s coming, folks.
TR/JT: I think Simon’s, new LWHBF website should be a GO, and think BIG! The money’s almost in our pockets.
!!Look out WTBTS, there’s a new kid in town!! -

'Changes That Disturb People' Awake 4/22/70
by ISP inone of the reasons is that people are disturbed by what is happening in their churches.
yes, millions of persons have been shocked to learn that things they were taught as being vital for salvation are now considered by their church to be wrong.
have you, too, felt discouragement, or even despair, because of what is happening in your church?

ISP,
It's no doubt they've cut their own throats. I say "Withhold the bandages and let 'em bleed!".
That was one of the articles I rubbed in my Mom's (the good catholic's) nose. If only I knew then what I know now! -

Questions for DFShipped...
by LDH inhi, dfs.. first of all, let me say it is not necessary to label yourself on this board, or anywhere on the internet for that matter.. so many of us have family members that are df'd, it really doesn't hold much water round here.
i did have some questions for you though, which of course you don't have to answer.. 1. why were you disfellowshipped?
(pls.

NEYank,
I see it as you do. I made my thoughts known to DF'ed regarding the hypocrisy of a df'ed person who is seeking reinstatement associating here (under "Making New Friends", I think even before this thread started). If he wants to stay, it's fine with me. There's plenty here to learn. I suspect he might even be able to teach some of us a thing or two. -

LeeHiker,
Somehow after living the absurdity that I acknowledge was my life as one of the Borg, I have managed to retain the ability to feel empathy for those with whom I disagree. When reading Big Rays post I felt acute embarrasement and hoped he would change his handle to Little Ray and go hide somewhere. Big Ray is actually a dim bulb.

Englishman! Welcome!
I have enjoyed your comments at H2O and look foreward to more of the same here. (I suppose it would only be polite to ask, "You are that Englishman, aren't you?" Polite, but methinks unnecessary.)
