  If JWD were to shut down tommorow......

  for good....... just say...... all contacts on here would be shut off, you would have no way of contacting anyone on here that you may have done before or do now, you would be left as you stand now, still with your family and friends, work colleagues in whatever capacity you enjoy them in real life, but without those you now know onscreen through this forum.

  would you be able to pick your life back up and carry on.

  i don't ask this lightly, i just wonder after reading a few posts recently in the last couple of years just how seriously some hold this forum almost to the point that it seems central to their lives (and that maybe so).. how would you feel?.

  Yes...I think just about anyone here knows that, scoob. I took the 'liberty' to add the word "Love".

  So...at the risk of being baited...why are you 'bugged' now ? You asked a very good complicated question. I answered in a very simple way, that I believe, answered your question in full. I had "life" before JW's, after JW's, before JWD and if it ever sadly happens...I will have "life" & "love" after JWD.

  Anything hidden that would or could hurt the other...couples must be clear about where that line is drawn. Getting even close to the line, imo, could be very dangerous.

  There is a wide variety of opinions we have here...we should respect that. We should remember, the ulitimate respect to be concerned with is with our partners. It must first be clearly OK with them, if there is any activity 'outside' the partnership. The worst thing to happen...would be to break the bond of trust a couple have for one another...it may never be repaired...

  Oh, no-o-o-o...can they see my computer screen, too...???

  I was told the same crap, too about saying out loud certain 'secrets' or 'fears' we had. My Mom had told me about another JW woman relative who, "felt a presence in her room at night"...basically, she was raped by a Demon I never could figure out how that could happen, being a spirit and all.

  I never heard about the facial expressions tho'.

  I remember eating Supper at a Catholic friends house when I was in 3rd grade...he had 13 brothers and sisters...all about 1 year apart. (No Birth Control) I looked up on their Kitchen wall and noticed this really fat dude, dressed all in white with lots of jewelry on and wearing a huge tall hat with more jewels and stuff. With my mouth full...I said, "Who's the fat guy?" 15 people go --> *gasp* then......... DEAD SILENCE........................ 30 eyes...are looking at me with shock, hurt and contempt.......the pregnant and barefoot Mom looks at me and st-st-stammers... lil' wabbit...! What did you say...?? uhhhhh, "Who's the fat guy?", ma'am? ( See I was honest, polite and stupid, haven't changed a bit either! ) Anyway, the Mom says..."you've just commited a Mortal Sin ! THAT"S THE POPE !!!!!!! Me: uh, "Who's that...?"

  Supper was over abruptly. Something was very wrong...I asked my friend on the way home, "What did I do wrong and what was a 'mortal sin?" It sounded bad. He told me it was the worst kinda sin you could do -- saying something bad about the Pope. "But, he was fat... " "Doesn't matter, he says, you're not supposed to say it out loud". "The Devil lives underground and he can come up and "grab" you when you're on the toilet!"

  I was scared shitless for days...until I told my Mom about it. She said it was not true...Satan could not hurt me in anyway, besides that...Catholics were not the true religion and the Pope was just a normal man. Whew ! The toilet was my friend -- again. All was right with the world.

  Note to self: Why would Satan come get me sittin' on th' pot...when I insulted the Pope, not him...unless...unless...he's the P...., nah...

  think of all the time and energy you wasted sitting in meetings, going door to door and refraining from making friends and having enjoyable association with non dubs.

  think about how much of your finite life is lost to you because you were a witness.

  think about how foolish you looked, hanging on to the false teachings and empty hopes for the future.

  The only one I blame is the ones who started it, who knew they were not directed by God but took the credit and who kept passing the torch on to someone else to do the same..

  I gotta agree, the ones who started it were very manipulative people who had a clever ability to influence others.

  My maternal grandparents is where it started with my family. I don't really blame them. They got in over their heads before they knew it...just like each of us! Once they were "in", just like us...they discovered (when questions & problems came up...) "JW's can check-in, but, they can't check-out." They felt "stuck and trapped" so they stayed, believing they were 'doing the right thing.'

  This cycle has to be stopped somewhere...somehow. That's why most of us are here...I hope my decendants will forgive me for helping them be 'born' into this tradgedy. At least they'll see I tried...

  Elder, making an "announcement" at the end of the Thursday night meeting:

  We were going to announce that Bro. & Sister XXX were going to be disfellowshiped tonite...for mutual masturbation... But, we've decided to simply forgive them instead. Recently some scriptures were brought to our attention, John 20:23, "If you forgive the sins of any persons they stand forgiven to them; if you retain any of those persons, they stand retained." And of course, "to freely forgive one another..." Who knew...go figure.

  Oh...we also could not find anything in the Bible against masturbation...so from now on...enjoy yourselves brothers & sisters! Love one another !

  We've also sent a copy of our decision to the WTS, we know they will understand and support us. To all of the people we've disfellowshiped over the years...we've sent letters of apology and Season Passes to Six Flags. We hope they can find it in their hearts to forgive us.

  COOL, this is my kinda thread, my buddy talesin said I'd like it. I'd like to see some close-ups from the top. I am glad they are 'harmless'. There is another big spider called a "Bird Catcher" I think they are in Central or So. America and really can catch & kill & eat small birds.

  Scully, speaking of "garlic butter," most lobsters & crabs...have 8 legs! They have exoskeletons and many other characteristics of our own greatly loved land-based spiders. They are I understand, all relatives! Ummmmmmm, good... Sea Spiders.
