    Hi,

I have a few websites that I favor for news and opinion. I was wondering what other people's favorite, most-often visited news sources are.

I'll go first. Here're some of mine:

http://www.buzzflash.com/ interest left-type news links from main media http://www.zmag.org/ZNET.htm lots of good articles from people like Noam http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/ Commentary on hot topics http://antiwar.com/ news links http://www.pacifica.org/ Democracy Now radio http://www.misleader.org/daily_mislead/Read.asp?fn=df01232004.html daily Bush "sins" from MoveOn and from a little more unusual one (http://sayanythingblog.com/ ) What the soldiers in Iraq have to contend with----that's SOME spider, but it's harmless. SCARY
That is what is called a "camel spider" and its just about the most hideous thing I've ever seen. Apparently they're harmless but have been scaring the crap out of some of the soldiers.
Plus, I check the usual once in a while CNN, LA Times, the local rag, Drudge Report, etc. How about you? Pat

I bet the soldiers are glad they carry automatic weapons with those things around. I'd be using mine (if I had one) and saw one of those phreaking big spiders!

    Here's more:

According to Snopes.com, the size of the first one is undetermined. They aren't that big normally and there's a lot of urban legends going around. So the one in the first picture cannot be verified. They're usually the size of a human hand.

    Cheers!

COOL, this is my kinda thread, my buddy talesin said I'd like it. I'd like to see some close-ups from the top. I am glad they are 'harmless'. There is another big spider called a "Bird Catcher" I think they are in Central or So. America and really can catch & kill & eat small birds.

Scully, speaking of "garlic butter," most lobsters & crabs...have 8 legs! They have exoskeletons and many other characteristics of our own greatly loved land-based spiders. They are I understand, all relatives! Ummmmmmm, good... Sea Spiders.
