As most of you know, I have been in Wa, State for too long. I have been an elder here for 18 years. I have been dfd'd and divorced a while back. And there are too many memories here. My family and friends have cut me off, and everywhere I go, I run into them. This whole place reminds me of them when I was in the borg. So I have been sending applications out, and there are numerous jobs in my field. Many were impressed with me credentials, and I have confirmed an offer. I am starting life over..........

I was raised in the Carribean, and always wanted to retire on an island. I am now in a prime position to do this, and I am jumping at the opportunity. My tentative date is Oct 1st, so I have a lot to do. I have to disolve my current business, and pack everthing up. I have a few things to sell, and the rest goes to the dump.

So you are all invite to come visit me in sunny Hawaii, and there will be plenty of booze in the fridge. I'll keep you posted on my move and I'll let you know when I have landed.

i was sitting here typing a post when i heard the "new message" tone come from my phone.

i played the message and it was none other than my mom.. "hi, this is mom... i'll talk to you later.

i wonder why she decided to call.

I don't know if this has been touched or not, but you mentioned that you didn't want anything to do with her. But as I see it, you should always leave the door open to them. You can show them that you have a bigger heart. There is other life than the borg. And you found it, perhaps they will too.

does money talk in the cong?

the jw i dated had lots of money and seemed to take the religion pretty much a la carte.

when it was to his advantage he'd play the religion card, but he seemed to get away with a lot.

by that i mean he owned and flew an ultralight, spent lots of time at the airport with non jws, slept with me (although they didn't know that), traveled to europe 2x to take his non jw mom to france, spends a lot of time visiting his mom in fl.

I don't know about others in their congregation. But the ones I was in, money meant you made it to the top faster. Being self employed, married, kids, having a big home, 2 cars minumum, a boat, and regular vacations.... and you're assured of appointments.

Well I'll give you my opinion, since I am entitled to one today......

It's kinda big. The experience is that 'life' changes all the time, and what would you do if you didn't believe in god anymore.......or you wanted to add something else?

The thing about tatoos is that over the course of time, some people get tired of it, and want to add or change the tatoo.

Love is what you give of yourself unconditionally. Once you know how to give that, it will be returned to you unconditionally.

If you need a bible for that, or the Koran, or just common sense, it doesn't matter. I know I have found it, outside the borg.
