  i work with someone who is df'ed, actually my cousin.

  he is trying to get reinstated.

  we got into a semi-heated discussion and i gave him a lot of my anti-wt viewpoints, trying to get him to think for himself.

  Yes I think some people are better off in the borg. It's like having their ears tickled. And that's just what some people need or want. Some people actually can't think for themselves, and they let the WT make their decisions for them. And IF you show them the real truth, it hurts too much, because they just don't want to hear about it. It will shatter their lives.

  As far as you having some indept conversations is concerned. It's great you have a better stand now. So if he wants to hear about it, tell him. Otherwise, you'll be waisting your time. Like he is waisting his time with you. Each will have to decide what's best for them, and what gives them the most satisfaction out of life. Freedom comes at a great cost sometimes, some are willing to pay the price and some aren't

  there is a pioneer in a nearby congregation, that my jw friend told me about recently.

  this person is a woman, but used to be a man.

  everyone has accepted her, and they all talk about what a good example, and what a wonderful pioneer she is.

  So if a man trapped in a woman's body has sex with a man, does that make him gay or straight?

  Or if this man who is now a woman has sex with a woman, does that make him lesbian or straight?

  Trying to Believe in Love

  i am new to this, and any form of online chat, but reading some of your postings inspired me to write.

  i am even unsure how to check responses, but hopefully there will be some and i will learn.. i am completely torn.

  i have met the man of my dreams, and was told the other day that we would not work because he was looking to the future and could not imagine putting up a christmas tree and lights in his home.. when we met, i knew he was raised a witness, but he assured me he had not been to meetings in 8 years because he did not "feel it".

  one of the things that always puzzled me about the witnesses' doctrine was this idea that we are living in the worst time the world has ever seen - that the twentieth century has surpassed all others in death and destruction.

  am i only the only crazy fool who thinks we have it pretty good?.

  a hundred years ago, people died from diseases that are easily treated today.

  Modern technology, Movies, Air conditioning, Elevators, Cars, Remote Control, Air Travel, Internet, Cell phones, better sex, better drugs............

  so here's a question, where does the bible say god wants you to completely disown a family member for chosing to leave the congregation?

  is that the god we have been taught to know?

  how can they go from door to door trying to save strangers, when infact they don't even talk to there own family?

  It doens't say that anywhere in the Bible. The WT likes to use the scriptures like: "Not eating with such a man", "I came to put not peace, but a sword between a father and his son, a mother and her daughter......", "They were no part of us", "To their own vomit they will return", "Do not say a greeting to such a man", and the list goes on and on.

  lately, with all the talk about mel gibsons new movie, etc., it got me to thinking.

  here you have people that suffer for their whole lives.

  with cerebral palsy, constant pain, watching their entire families get gunned down.. here is the deal.

  One more gripe:

  This is supposed to be a spiritual warefare. Knock, knock, hello we are physical beings. Say that Satan 'is' responsible for all this in the long run, then why take it out on humans? Shoot this bastard in the ass and zap him into oblivion. Don't send this clown to the earth so we as humans can suffer just a little bit more than history has already experienced. And promise that there will be a redeemer that will fix all of these problems. These promises didn't work in the past and will not now............. 'Huston, we have a problem'

  Also if one man and woman messed up. Why was mankind told to go ahead an suffer, because in time it's gonna be ok?

  Wasn't there a flood that basically accomplished nothing? Things are still bad before the flood and after. What did Moses accomplish? Go ahead and get my people out of Egypt, it will be better in the Promised Land. So they get stuck in a stinky desert. And finally after entering, there are still wars between nations and many suffer. Mission: Failed. Ok let's wait and send some judges and prophets. Nothing changes. Mission: Failed

  Ok one more attempt. Send some one a little more poweful. Jesus. He will make things better. And here we are still in the same mess as was started, by the first couple. So why do we have to suffer, because some idiotic pair way back when, messed up? Why for all these thousands of years? And now we are gonna go to some paradise place? What has history proven after all these attempts? Ya think it's gonna be alright?

  If you're going to redeem. Do it right and do it now !!!!

  Help w/Art Memorial Project

  my good friend, colleague, fellow teacher and beer drinking buddy wayne myers died of cancer last week.

  he died of chemo poisoning before the cancer could kill him.

  he taught biology and was from kansas.

  Wrap the entire frame work in a water absorbant matting. Take small pieces of rope and tie a compost paste to it. Either seed it with moss.

  Or get some already pieces of moss from a Garden Store. Then wrap that with rope around the entire frame. It will spread in no time, provided you don't have too much sunlight on it. Don't hose it down with water. Use a light misted sprayer to moisten the entire piece. Later after it grows you can cut the rope off and it's done. Voila
