HM The Queen will not attend Charlie's wedding...

but she'll attend the blessing after the wedding and host the reception.. the queen is to stay away from the civil marriage ceremony of her son, prince charles and camilla parker bowles, buckingham palace confirmed tonight.. she will, however, attend the church blessing following the civil ceremony, the palace said.. prince william and prince harry, along with parker bowles's children, tom and laura, will be present at the april 8 civil wedding in the guildhall at windsor, it is understood.. buckingham palace said: "the queen will not be attending the civil ceremony because she is aware that the prince and mrs parker bowles wanted to keep the occasion low key.. "the queen and the rest of the royal family will, of course, be going to the service of dedication at st george's chapel, windsor castle.. "she is very pleased to be giving the wedding reception at the castle.".
the palace declined to comment on speculation that police had warned the queen against attending on security grounds.. "the queen's prime concern is that the civil ceremony should be as low key as possible, in line with the couple's wishes," said the palace spokeswoman.

by bronzefist incan anyone tell me why this practice was stopped.
i was told the reason for the guards was to prevent apostates from "attacking" anyone up there and disrupting the program.
has anyonne witnessed an "attack" of apostates gone wild?

My memory for dates is not good, but I think it was before then. Everyone in the crowd started clapping and avoided eye contact as he was led away in front of us; he was trying to shout something. We all looked like nutcases. -
