the elder will tell his wife while rocking on top of her or something....or the biggest one that gets me is that the elder will tell the mother, and tell her to keep it silent, shh and such....and the mother will tell every damn person in the congregation...........

Did You Ever Tell An Elder Something Confidential Only To Hear It Blabbed??
by minimus inelders are supposed to maintain confidentiality.
if they don't, they can be deleted as elders.
still, one of the biggest complaints that i can recall from some in the congregation, was that elder so-and-so told his wife or another ms that someone had a problem or had to be counseled.....did it ever happen to you?

Describe some the "typical" dubs you would find in nearly every KH
by doodle-v insister self-rightous busy body-- always has her nose in everyone else's business.
makes a point to ask questions without really asking them like "oh we havent seen you here in a looong tiiiime" and "we miss hearing you comment at the meetings" .
brother womenizer--known for dating all the "available" sisters and dumping them .

Well, an elder described it the best for me.........people that want to be told what to do.
40+ single brothers: old perverts who like to hit on my 17 year old girlfriend
teenage sisters: pregnant by worldly guys, but allowed to bring their worldly boyfriends (not even married) to the meetings.
teenage brothers: drug users and heavy drinkers, or else really shy and has no public speaking skills (only one brother i know that actually speaks really good in public). the rest of the speakers studder and can't get together a full sentence, let alone give announcements.
older people: drinkers.........
elders: for the most part, one minded with the exception of one (a rare one in the congregation that actually is a good elder). unfortunately the good elders don't last that long, and their time will come soon.....

NEWEST WT ON 666
by Mary inok, i just got the latest wt that has big flaming numbers 666 on the front.
i skimmed through it but naturally it's pretty vague on who they think makes up this beast that has this number.
personally, i've always felt that there will be an individual antichrist (like hiter) who tries taking over the world.

me and my elder buddy was actually talking about it. he said he hasn't seen it yet, but from what he's seen and stuff, the only thing they have incorrect is that jesus wasn't on a cross, but stake. i'm not up for debating that, but in his opinion, a lot of the things were probably pretty accurate.

Need Super Geeks...
by Valis inok...my campus computer lab has all machines running win2k sp4...all new dell p4's.
well i've got the problem where it isn't reading many floppy drives formatted in me, win 9x...this is causing a huge problem because win2k isn't reading the media descriptor or the floppy doesn't have one and then it proceeds to ask the student if they want to format the disk.
you could see how this might be deleterious to the undereducated computer user and all the yes clicks that might happen.

the problem is the way the floppy is formatted in. its FAT formatted, and sometimes if you don't have a FAT partition on win2k w/ sp4 (w2k is NTFS) it won't read. try formatting to just fat16 on your floppy disc, or else get a disc for NTFS systems. it sux

Ohhh yea thats in the OT....
by flower inwhen people mention some of the atrocities and bizarre laws commanded by god in the bible, the most frequently used argument seems to be something to this effect .."thats in the old testament which is no longer binding for us today since jesus as the 'lamb' cleared away the need for its rules and regulations".
however, i do not know where they get this idea other than from religious leaders (jw or otherwise) who spoon feed them that reasoning so that they can excuse the majority of evil that the bible promotes and so they can assign a kinder, more loving nature to god.. i find no proof that the ot should be ignored.
even according to scriptures in the new testament the ot should be adhered to.

flower, read galatians 2:21 or somethin like that.
"for if we adhere to laws, then Jesus died for nothing"
EDITED:
forgot to say that a lot of Pauls letters go against the very fact of laws and organization. paul promotes singleness and walking in Jesus' footsteps rather than Jehovah's footsteps...
