175Pictures of yourself as a kid
by Aztec ini'm starting this because i was chatting with someone this morning about pictures of ourselves as kids.
i realized i didn't have any of myself so i got my mother to email me a few.
i promised i'd start a thread about it and if that person doesn't post the pic they sent me this morning, i will.

Did Demons Write Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven
by dh indoes anyone remember the jw urban legend that 'the demons' wrote the song 'stairway to heaven' by lez zeppelin.
i remember being told as a kid that the song was written by 'the demons', because.... .
the guy who wrote the song was wasted at a party or something, and when he woke up the next day, the song was written in his own writing, but he didn't remember writing it.. .

thanks for that info simon, i actually backtracked the whole song today and have listened to it repeatedly trying to find these back tracked sections, but to no avail! then i came online and read your post and checked out those .aiff files and i have to say that for the case of this being back tracked to have any substance, i'd have to have a very very open and generous disposition, i can't for the life in me hear those things it's supposed to say when reversed.
i was surprised to hear that robert johnson is said to have sold his soul, he's definitely a legend, i remember hearing that alice cooper sold his though, maybe just because the shoe fits him easier.
anyways, i will keep listening to this song backwards and see if i don't have a revelation!

My Book of Bible Stories
by brianhenke ini was looking through my book of bible stories (1978 ed.
) and i have two questions:.
- have the jws re-issued it, and.... - did they make any changes between editions?.

That book had two pictures I glued closed. I wouldn't let my youngest son see them until he was about 8 or 9. (it came out after the other three were older kids)
The pictures are the one of Abraham about to kill Isaac, and one of a soldier holding a baby by its ankles to cut it in half in Solomon's court. I thought they were horrible, and still do.
yeah i remember those pictures only too well! from about the age of 4, i remember how abraham killing isaac was to show us what faith is all about, and solomon threatening to chop the baby in half was a display of the wisdom god gave him!!!
as a kid i always used to wonder what would happen if the stroke fell and he chopped the baby in half, i guess they are good examples of what you gotta do to appease hov, but not things for children.
does anyone remember the illustration that went with judges 4.21 (not sure what book or magazine it was in)
Then Jael wife of Heber took a tent pin and grasped the mallet. When he was fast asleep from exhaustion, she approached him stealthily and drove the pin through his temple till it went down to the ground. Thus he died.
i remember a picture of that too, her about to hammer a tent pin through her husbands head.
there was another one in another publication of a guy with a millstone tied around his neck who had been flung off a cliff... that was also very graphic, i remember laughing, but it was actually pretty brutal.

anyway, that happens to me when i get too high, not a serious topic but i wondered if anyone remembers hearing this story as a jw.

by Celtic inwomen.. they're a rummily scrumptious lot.. take breasts for example.
from a mans point of view, how much better can life be, when you got a beautiful pair of scrumptious breasts to kiss and cuddle upto.

i read somewhere that men who were breast fed as babies have more of a fondness & attachment to breasts when they grow up.
i was breast fed and i like to play with breasts all day
