In all honesty min, I read it on a regular basis from time to time, so as to keep myself refreshed with the knowledge of the WTBTS poor track record of telling the truth about different issues. Malawi-Mexico, GB Members asleep at the wheel, heirarchy and general power plays usually associated with the attitude of Wall Street backstabbers and ladder climbers. Beth Sarim and a host of other things that require me to stay focused on.

I have just come across a new Phyllis Hyman recording that has my favorite tune " The Love Too Good to Last " on it. It was originally on the " Can't We Fall in Love Again ?" recording, with Micheal Henderson. I have watched record stores for over 15 years, hoping to either find this album or a greatest hits version with this specific cut on it.
For quite sometime, I had all but given up on ever being able to find one, short of having to order a $50.00 out of print Japanese import. My persistence in this matter has finally paid off. The Biblical principle of keep on seeking, and you will find, keeping knocking and the door will ( eventually ) be opened to you, has once again proven itself true for me.
BTW, I have a special affinity for Phyllis Hyman as we both share the same birthday.
Don't mean to bore all of you.
Just felt like sharing.

Who's Yo' Daddy???
by Elsewhere inlmao... i'm watching one of them most f-ed up shows i have ever seen.. an adopted girl is supposed to pick out her biological father from a group of men.
if she chooses correctly she wins $100,000, if she chooses incorrectly, the man she chose gets the money.. i think i can already tell who the father is: karl.
i say it's him because of the way he looks at her and how he speaks.

Mary Anne is by far the hottest,..... you know what I'm talkin' about?, and preferably in a slightly above the knee plaid skirt! Something about a womans repressed innocence,.... you know what I'm sayin' just takes it.....way over the top for me,
and besides.... Ginger was already a slut,... I prefer to make my own!!!

Hi brokenfairy. Take a look around at many of the people here. You will find some that wear the same feelings as yourself. We all come from many diverse backgrounds, however, many of us have had those same feelings of lonliness, isolation, and depression. The struggle to please God is an issue for many of us, as we have been conditioned to believe that there is no other organisation on earth that represents the true God. If you give yourself a break, though, talk to some of the folks here, who are very, very eager to assist you in your journey, you'll see in time that you really can be OK, not just feel OK.
You can view this as an emergency room for right now, and thats OK.
We come in from a authoritarian, dogmatic, unyeilding legalistic religious society that may take some time to shake off the chains of guilt, fear of abandonment as well as the guilt you may experience because of seeing the need to abandon all that you once believed as true.
Its like a pair of tired old shoes that have come to be so comfortable, though they may be well worn, we still find the need to keep them around, well brokenfairy take your shoes off and relax for a while, theres plenty of good medicine in here, and some of it might not taste to good at first, the medicine is necessary however for you to get better, and before you know it. you'll take those old shoes and carefully discard them and I bet you just might just find yourself with a new set of wings.

And when you stand back to add it all up, we're pretty much like every other group of people who had issues with their religious organisations, from Martin Luther to Martin Luther King, somewhere over the rainbow, some of just woke the ---k up!!!
Crisis of Conscience is your ticket to paradise, it is salve for the eyes, and more importantly for your soul. Please do not deny yourself the reading of this critical commentary on the most intimate inner workings of the society from the perspective of an insider, one of the governing body themselves. All that exist in the Merry Old Land of OZ, is only a fraction of what you may've known or been told.

Hip Hop Hot or Country Cool?
by prophecor inthere's a growing trend for white folks to listen to r&b, hip hop & even "gansta' " rap music, and its generally accepted in the black community.
will there ever come a time when black folks can reasonably get away with listening to country & western music and not be affraid of being clowned upon and derided for listening to it?
come on, where my homies in 'da hood who secretly listen to c&w at?

Hi Funchback, I believe he still does gigs on the road. A good friend of the wife & mine still talks about how she fawned all over him at a night spot here, a true believer, ( in Morris Day, that is ) though I'm not so sure what happened to the remaining members of The Time, though I have a sneaking suspicion Brother Rodgers may know. Any info on that,...Oh Purple One?
