The glory of God. The Hubble telescope has been giving us massive amounts of information regarding the solar system. Yet God has been trying to get our attention for thousands of years. Hubble reveals how the heavens are not static or stationary, but that they in fact are alive and growing. Being literally stretched through out the galaxies. Did Jehovah not say it first?

Job 9:7-8 He is saying to the sun that it should not shine forth, And around stars he puts a seal. Stretching out heavens by himself And treading upon the high waves of the sea

Isaiah 45:12 I myself have made the earth...and have stretched out the heavens, and all the army of them I have commanded.

Jeremiah 51:15...the One who by his understanding stretched out the heavens.

There are a few others but just to keep things simple.

That's what God said. Simply put. Now that we know from what the Hubble Telescope has recently brought to our attention, what are we to do with God's word. He who has been trying to tell us from the begining?

What gives when I see the flood of references to scriptures that come from so many varied sources? The front of the NWT reference Bible highlights numerous Biblical translations, too many to list. from the Codex Alexandria Greek 5th Century, Codex Siniaticus Greek 4th Century. Biblica Hebraica Stuttgartensia, et.al. Did they take what they wanted from these sources only to formulate a version of Scripture that pushes their personal agenda?

In studying side by side, some of thier refernce points do mirror much the same as your more trusted and traditional versions of scripture, for instance The NASB, New Living Translation and others. I am more than a bit miffed, however, when I see the NWT refer to Jesus as a child, as an impersonal "it", and not using nouns such as him, or his. They de-humanise him. Relegate him down to an it or a thing. Matthew 2:11,13,14,20,21.

It's long been my belief that a NWT Bible is only going to push a Jehovah's Witness agenda. That being said, If you choose to stay outside the mainstream with the equipment you use to teach, don't expect many to trust your sources. Use the same Scriptures everyone else does. Don't come to the game with your own playbook of rules. Stop bringing your own dice to the craps table.

i thought it might be worth some debate so posted here .

the debate is basically between mainstream geological understanding of the earth's history and "young earth creationism" in particular with how the evidence relates to the occurrence of a global flood in the recent past.. a couple of points from the yec website www.icr.org are raised as examples in order to kick things off .

The above link gives a stiring discussion on pyramidology and how to calculate several scientific thoughts and ideas. The distance to the moon, how to perfectly square a circle. The formulation for py? This information is in a book that predates 1914 and I wonder if CTR may have held similar views which caused him to believe the pyramids contained "Secret Knowledge" There are, however, some seemingly fascinating things that the author brings to his audience.

Just for kicks, there is a stiring discourse in the Aide To Bible Understanding publication under the "Deluge". They discuss at length how the world was once, all one tropical climate. The expanse as it's described in Genesis, no doubt gave the appearance of a completly different world. There was no such thing as rain before the flood and the expanse worked to filter out a lot of the poisonous light we experience on earth here now. UV Rays, Infra Red Waves and others that contribute to our capacity to get skin cancer as well as accelerated ageing. The Scriptures clearly define how imediately after the flood, mankind's life span gradually over time becomes drastically reduced. From being able to clock 900 years plus was nothing out of the ordinary. Then shortly thereafter, lifespans begin to decrease to lower and lower levels.

There is evidence of a major catastrophic moment in history where Earth's atmosphere was radically changed, overnight. There are occuring in Siberia of animals such as Mastodans, Wolly Mammoths, Sabre Tooth Tigers and many others who suddenly became caught up in a horrific global change in the climate. It would be different if they were all caught in some global castastrophe like an earthquake or volcanic explosion or a meteor, but they appear to have been immediately frozen in time, suspended animation. They are found with fresh food in thier mouths and thier stomachs. They were in the process of life going on as usual and then suddenly in an instant of time, they were forever frozen in ice.

They are unknown as to how old they are. It's been determined that they are several thousands of years old, but even at that, according to some critics, radio carbon dating is ineffective at determining the age of anything before the flood as it is impossible to get an accurate reading as to when something showed up on the planet. Earth's atmosphere was of a completly different structure and that technology cannot determine with any accuracy how old something is.

The absolute opposites that exist on Earth cause me to wonder as well. Extreme heat of the deserts in places like the Middle East, and the hostile Arctic and Antarctic envioronments on both polar ends of the planet. Something must have come along and just ripped through Earth's atmosphere to bring those two extremes to the fore. Also the changing of the seasons are never mentioned until after the flood. So it would support to some extent that there must have been one climate, as the change is never mentioned until afterwards.

"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease." Genesis 8:22

Does it seem impossible? Yes, but God is beyond man's ability to comprehend. We only see faint glimpses of his glory and we will never know with any certainty, how he did these things until we cross over and are brought back to life on a planet that is filled with the knowledge of Jehovah, just as the water covers the very seas. Habakkuk 2:14

some of my favorite people are~.

after leaving the religion, my lesbian couple friends were the most compassionate people, and i will always love them!.

i am heterosexual, but find gays to be absolutely fabulous!!.

They do have a peculiarly distinct aire about them. They are incredibly animated. As if to push the, "I too am a womanly one as well. SO THERE!!!" Some of my favorite actors, who are not gay but have played them are Damon Wayans when performing in living color. The Men on Film segments. Absolutely hillarious.

The little Oriental man on Half & Half. The syndicated sitcom featuring the two half sisters from different baby daddies. There's nothing seemingly more out of the norm than a fat Oriental, or one who's a homosexual. Sorry if that sounds racist, but the numbers never seem to match on that one. Many who play gays in film and TV seem a little too good at it. As if there might a some latent homosexual energy living inside of them.

And as for my tranvestite favorites, Eddie Izzard is an absolute riot. I won't even watch him unless he's wearing a dress. Gifted historian as well, don't play the GLBT short. As for Madea? That's an entirely different issue. Tyler Perry wears a dress, well, but he's definitely all man.
