Hi pleeser2001, I went in chat to find no one there, saw you jump in then right back out again,......... anywho's,......... I went to look up some post and possible topics to kinda get a bead on who U were, and found your gem of a topic.

It's refreshing to find your feelings regarding paying it forward, that I've found is one of the most beautiful aspect of life, I believe in that concept to the highest degree. I think we've said hello to each other in chat on occasions, but I wanted to get a clearer picture as to who you were. Do You Feel You're Living Your Life or Someone Elses?

the more i live this life the more i come to the conclusion that this life doesn't belong to me entirely.

i am constantly brought to the realization that i'm living living in the footsteps of my father.

i never really understood what he was going thru until i got to be an adult.

The more I live this life the more I come to the conclusion that this life doesn't belong to me entirely. I am constantly brought to the realization that I'm living living in the footsteps of my father. I never really understood what he was going thru until I got to be an adult. Now that I am an adult, all the lines between where I am as a man and where my father once was, have become forever blurred.

Its a creepy concept as my father was a very emotionally dark person, extremely private. Had a thing about his personal airspace not being invaded. Listened to little music but lots of news and talk radio programs. He was not a very happy individual and was suspected of having nervous breakdowns and just a very bitter person. All of which is becoming more clearly the emotional clothes that I wear as well. He wasn't a witness, but apparently wanted to be one when we were kids. Pop would take us to the Kingdom Hall, long before I even knew what a Kingdom Hall was.

I've given thought to writing my own obituary as well. My going home song would be by " George Micheal & Elton John ", Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.

My own obituary would be written as a means of keeping out all falacious information, pro & con, people have a way of embelishing the truth, as well as trying bite your back out while your body lies in state, without the ability to answer such charges.

Realistically speaking, however, I would prefer to not even have a funeral, I wouldn't want my loved ones looking at my dead body, and I would prefer to have been disappeared as nothing more than a memory, just donate the body to science!!!

As regards where for the funeral, I would never have one in a Kingdom Hall, never. Nor would I even think they would even have it in a Kingdom Hall. I know I would only be held up as an example of what not to do when one becomes a witness. They thereafter would preach me straight to eternal never never land!!!

I would prefer to die on a mountain, never to be found again, or even have need of a funeral!!!

Everyday!!!

I think it's of the utmost importance to prepare ahead of time for. I've over time purchased one for my mother, paid for it on time over the course of 7 years. She now can die and not concern herself with the regular pains of feeling herself a potential burden to her children.

I had this put into effect, not at the popularity of my siblings, after many years passing, however, as well as mom suffering from a brain annuerism operation from which recovery was really touch & go, they now see the wisdom in having done this.

I would now like to do the same for me and my wife.

Talk Radio?

do any of you have experience using local talk radio shows to discuss wtbts issues?

Though I've not found an entry way into discussing the WTBTS on talk radio, I do listen intently and hear of things that do come up for discussion offhandedly regarding Jehovah's Witnesses. I also make my voice heard on these talk shows, not just sitting back on the sidelines as a listener/spectator only.

Dennis Prager, a popular radio talk show figure has had those familiar with witness teachings call. He's of the Jewish faith, but brings a crisp and clear reality to the aspects of faith thru Judaism as well as Christianity.

In the same breath he also gives a unique perspective regarding the need to work thru the political system, those who espouse values in our culture and doing away with old world politics of the 20th Century, returning to faith based organizations as a means of righting the destructive forces that have had such a dominating effect upon American society as a whole.

Some JWs Are "In The Closet"

by that, i mean, some witnesses will not just now "out" themselves because of various fears and concerns.

some of us are still "in the closet".

so to speak, because we're not ready to expose ourselves to the "loving brothers", just yet---at least not 100 %.

I usually don?t respond to threads, because I don?t really have anything to say beyond what others have already posted, and there are some really smart people....who say it ....much better ...

Tom, with the energy you've brought to this thread, for you to continue to hold back and hold out from responding, here as well as other posts, only cheats yourself and the rest of us by your holding on to the belief that your opinions are not worthy of consideration.
I actually enjoyed reaing your personal thoughts. I also feel were you to share more, you would come to view yourself as a valuable asset to the community.
