did you ever consider yourself a worldy person while being a witness?
if you did, what constituted worldliness?
in my days i've done many things that didn't bother my conscious, yet, by todays standards of the org.
I've always felt as if a worldly witness.
It took too long for me to come in from the world, though I'd been around the truth for quite some time.
Though outward behavior modifications, on the inside, I was still the same person.
The mind seemed to have changed but not the heart.
it's has been a hard few months for me.
i am just so sad i don't know where to begin.
i feel so lost in this world and i have lost all my friends and i feel so alone.

Why am I Here, this is one of my favorite songs by Anita Baker. It can hurt to heal, in fact it usually does. But it feels better once we've released that energy. Is it a little early in your seperation from the folx at the KH?, then time will eventually begin to make a difference for you. Maybe the shock is just begining to set in. Hang in there, hang in here if you must, someone as I'm sure you already know, will always be there to encourage you.

since leaving the jw?s i have developed a real appreciation of old cathedrals.
these places are beautiful and really took some building.
how boring and lifeless kingdom halls are in comparison.
I keep looking for a good photo of Durham & Winchester Cathedral. I'm also a fancier of Castles. The wonderous works that are many in Europe.

Peppermint, you've touched a raw nerve in my soul, I have been an admirer of the glory that are Cathedrals. They give a awe inspiring prescense to the faith that man has attempted to obtain, I have in the past hunted down these wonderous edifices on the internet, in an attempt to witness mans wish to touch the face of God with these glorious buildings.
over the years i have become less of male chauvanist pig and much more chivalrous - my wife says she as a woman likes men to be men and hold doors open for her and stand up on an airport shuttle bus etc .
if there are no seats left.
to me the wtbts is very chauvanistic and not very chivalrous.
Civility has been lost in this society.
whilst taking my morning shower, where i always seem to do my best thinking (please, no rude remarks concerning showering, thank you)...i got to thinking about my dad.
our family was raised jw's; except for my dad, who knew better!
he passed away about 20 years ago and today, whilst in my shower, (oh yeah, i said that already)...i thought how hard that must of been on him.
Had Enuff, that was truly touching, liked to dropped a tear or two of my own just now. I wish you closure on this delicate part of your history. My2U

did you , when you were a 'proper' jw, or even a jw of any description, believe that after armageddon you wouldn't have to go to the meetings and out on field service anymore?
surely, after armageddon the control and work from jehovah would get even greater and the nightmare of being a jw would truly never end.. do you get my drift or have i had too much merlot?.
i ask this because my father told me that 'they' needed all these new khs for when the dead are resurrected and they have to look after them and study with them.
Jesus H. Christ, if you receive a resurrection, that would seem to me to be indoctrination enough, teaching folks from days gone by is seemingly, quite truly to me, just plain crazy. Let folks go and live their life. If they get to go for a 2nd round, life in the 1st one should have taught them enough. I'm going out and getting a bottle of Merlot now!
