when they were young, they fought the nazis, and then bore witness to the extreme depravity of which human beings are capable.
now in or nearing their 80s and 90s, the allied soldiers who liberated the concentration camps of .
The other very, very scary thing you pointed out was: Nazism started "in the mind of one human...and spread"
Remember, too...it was not just Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses...it was Gypsies, homosexuals and political dissidents, too.

Hi Rabbit, my apologies as regards the previous statement, it was made with regard to the fulfillment of Hitler's purposes for the Jews and Gentiles alike. The embodiment or the end result as to the destruction that took place at the institution of the horrific policies of Nazism which was destined for all those who were not of pure German descent.
That one mind ( Hitler's ) was the end result or the absolute fulfillment of the hatred, the diseased thinking that was breeding even before he became Chancellor of Germany, and was a belief that was festering, even as far back as his writings of " Mein Kampf ". It having its beginings long before the senond world war. It was not my intent to discount the millions who suffered at the hands of Nazism, as I am aware that the slaughter covered vast portions of humanity Jews as well as Gentiles alike. JW's, the mentally ill, political persons within his own party, no section of humanity was totally exempt from the possible destruction that came as a result of his hands, and in the end, not even the pure German peoples who had supported his regime, for they too were wiped out by countless numbers.
last evening, the family and i went for our traditional monday "i?m too tired to cook" meal at mickiedees.
our son can never stop talking about his order; hamburger happy meal with a boy toy, and make sure they don?t put pickles, mustard or onions on the burger.
we hear that all the way there on most occasions.. for some reason, maybe because i?ve been spending so much time here the past few days, hubby and i got onto the subject of biblical doctrine and religion, punctuated by at least 10 chorus of "mom?don?t forget.
Children do have incredible insight a'ight!

isn't it amazing that geoge carlin - iconoclastic and mouthy comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent ... and so very appropriate post 9-11. .

as mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.
we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).
surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!

hi- does anyone know where i can find the crisis of conscienece book?
i can't order it online because i don't have a credit card.
i have checked at all the local bookstores- they have never heard of it.
Hi Sugar Britches, If you're anywhere in the big city, and you have a Borders Book Store in your area, they can order you a fresh copy, usually takes about ten days.
Excellent reading, I've had to buy a second one because I wore the pages out of the first one. I've also recently purchased In Search of Christian Freedom from them as well, just last week. They can usually get almost anything. They may've never heard of it because the original was written in the early 90's but if they have computer access, they should be able to locate it for you.
i came across this while i was reading the bard (all us brit's do you know) and i thought of the org'.. .

He has been one of my favorite top 10 comedians for some time now, has ascerbic wit and uncompromising honesty is what has endeared me to him through out all these years. Even before 911, when one of his greatest comedic works gave a reflection of a softer time in this country before terrorism reared it ugly head.
His struggles with addiction do not restrain me from listening to him, as I have no room or reason to judge him. I believe underneath that coarse, harsh often bitter exterior, is someone who has an incredible capacity to love and his love for truth finds its way in some of the most profound, yet fierce outspokeness.
