Well, I guess a lot of us ARE bitter. We have a lot to be bitter about, the lies, coldness and persecution received from within.

First of all, any accusations they have can be met with, " How would you know that? You're not supposed to be visiting apostate sites". There isn't jack shit they can do about it anyways
Well, you can do that but it won't make any difference what you say. The thing they can do is DISFELLOWSHIP you. Nothing you say will stop them if that is their intention.

The faithful and discreet slave
by Ryan1 ini have been doing a bit of research into the witnesses.
i have been told the faithful and discreet slaves reside in brooklyn ny.
these men believe they are appointed by god to lead the jehovah's witnesses and run a publishing company.. what scriptures do they use to back up this claim?.

"The Slave is NOT the GB. They are not synonomous."
Ok Minimus this is techinically correct but for all pratical purposes the GB is the FDS slave. I'm thinking of writing the Service Dept. in Brooklyn to suggest they set up a website where only the annointed can log into and put all matters of doctrine up for vote. -

You know, JWs are humans just like everyone else. Being a member of any religious faith doesn't preclude one from committing hienous crimes. If one is to judge the WT Society by what its' individual members might do then we in all fairness should judge all other organizations (religious or otherwise) on the same basis.

"MARKED" as undesireable association because of college
by LexWatson in"i" who was marked as someone bad to associate with simply because i wanted to make enough to support my family and the approved professions (which our congregation was already saturated with) of window washers, carpet cleaners, janitorial services, and siding and window replacement workers did not appeal to me.

This thing about higher education seems (at least to me) to have been a bigger issue in the past than it is now. I know that back in the late 80's I was blasted from the platform (again no name used) for espousing the demonic propaganda of higher education. However, nowadays many JW young people in my locality openly go to college and are not ostracized in anyway.

OutKasted ;-P
by SpaWn of MeDusa inhello in there ;-p. wow wow wow.... i never knew such a place existed.... unfortunatly i don't have a lot of time to type right now & believe me i'd need days, perhaps even weeks & i'd probably still feel like i wasn't done.... in short... my name is jodie, i'm from australia, i'm about to turn 32 & i am a jehovah's witness outkast... i wasn't kicked out, i left of my own accord when my parents divorced & i was about 14... my father, my younger brother & me - the 3 black sheep !!
my father was disfellowshipped, he was an elder who also happened to have bi polar... the day ( or technically night ) my father was disfellowshipped was the saddest time of my life - it was more like a death or a funeral, something tragic... when my parents divorced i went to live with dad, i was always closer to my father plus when he left he had nothing... he lived on the river bank in the middle of winter for 6 weeks in a tent ( while his good christian jehovah's witness father & sister slept warm in their beds in the same town... ) dad bought a little caravan & he & i lived in it, eventually he bought some land & built a house & my younger brother joined us.... anyway to cut it all short... i've suffered badly from depression - so badly it's almost killed me & my brother also... the crux of our depression is our mother, our sister's, our grandfather, our aunt's & all of our relatives are jehovah's witnesses - most of them live in the same town as us altho they may as well live on the other side of the world.... you know, sitting here thinking about it all - it all makes perfect sense... how can families be torn apart like this, how do they not realise it is wrong & sad & wicked ??.
i've spent more than half my life trying to have any sort of relationship with the rest of my family.... anyway i have to get going.... hasta la vista .

Many years ago I (in a drunken state) committed a misdemeanor crime. Eventually I met with police detectives and when confronted I confessed fully. In the course of my conversation with the detectives I mentioned I was a JW. Anyhow, the police matter was resolved without serious legal consequences to me. When the elders in my congregation (who had already dealt with my wrongdoing) found out that I had told the police I was a JW they black listed me. It seems that the "crime" I had committed was not as serious an offence as "bringing reproach upon the organization". In fact the brothers were upset that I had admitted my crime to the police. Needless to day I was cut to the heart as I had prayed to Jehovah to move me to do the right thing with regard to the police inquiry.

This type of thing doesn’t surprise me at all. My estimation is that all people are sinners and have something (maybe many things) in their closets that they don’t want known and this would include the clergy. I feel sorry for this guy even though he is simply reaping what he sewed. His life and reputation are probably ruined and even if God forgives him, we sinful people won’t.

I read or listen to the WT and Awake. Yes, I find many of the articles interesting and often informative. The articles in the WT can help a person with problems and aid them to apply Bible principles in their life. However, when I read the WTS’ literature I do so with my mental guard raised, watching out for the insidious way they shift focus from God or Jesus to themselves

Whatever personal decisions Jehovah’s Witnesses make in the face of different situations, they take care to preserve their Christian neutrality and freeness of speech
Despite the WT's leading one to think that JWs can vote if their consciences allow this is really not the case. If you vote in an election and it is found out you will immediately become a marked person within the congregation. Also, shortly to follow will be some type of judicial charge such as causing dissension. This is another case of the WT's actual policy being the unwritten word.
