No windows (in the USA at any rate) are not a fire code issue, specified and specific doors are.

Just to add to the already wise words: being an elder is a job. An unpaid job. And the org gets what they pay for :) dont answer the phone and they wont call back often. Too much effort and too many other petty things to keep them busy.

New forum 'parousia' is upon us! (software version)
by Simon inthe time has nearly come to switch over to the new forum software.
of course it's not completely finished yet (and never will be) but i think it's good enough to go live with and probably already better than the current one.
i'll give you a quick overview of what to expect and post more detail about the changeover process later.. cloud platform.

Is this why the book is grey?
by Doug Mason inthe 2014 revised edition of "what does the bible really teach?
" uses the text of the 2013 nwt.
i therefore assume this is the reason for the grey colour of the "bible teach" book.. examples of the adjustments appear at pages 216 and 217 of the book:.

I have no inside information but i would guess "yes". They have already announced a new grey song book of the same material as the bible, the color of the teach book seems to go with that theme. How appropriate that drab religion chose grey as its color.

Another question, if i may impose...
does the new forum have an "active" button? The only reason i ask is because i went to the web address you noted and saw the forum but i didnt see an active button. I know its small and petty but that button is really my life here. I click it, see what people are talking about and go from there..

Freedom of Relgion has been taken away.
by Jeannette inwhen a person is disfellowshiped by a religion just because he or she doesn't believe it all is very serious.
some disfellowshiped ones have even taken their own lives because they have been made to feel so bad.
it's down in black and white that parents and friends are supposed to shun them, shunning is acting like someone is dead.

Understand im not a fan of the WT by any strech..... But I think your wrong.
DF'ing dosent prevent you from practicing the dubbies religion Or believing as you wish. DF'ing is protected by that very freedom. The freedom comes into play when the religion practices its rules and tenants, rules you agree to when you practice it as constitued. They (the org) are protected and allowed to make up whatever rules, including those that get you DF'd, they want. Its their right (freedom) to do so. Its also your right (or freedom) to be a dubbie and play by their rules. Or not.
its also your right to believe anything you wish. You can take every belief of witnessdom you want, strip it of a few odds and ends like the shunning doctrine, and practice that if you want. Your free to do so. But they arnt obligated to reconize you as part their club. There is no inherent right of a person to force an organization to reconize them as member in good standing if the person dosent agree with or works against the precepts of the organization. Imagine a furrier suing PETA because PETA wont let them be a member.
i hate the shunning practice and NEVER, not even when i was a die hard dubbie, shunned anyone, but I cannot see it as denial of freedom of religion.
