The goal of this campaign is to sponsor a billboard that will be targeted to current members traveling to the Belton, TX conventions July 31st - Aug 9th 2015. These conventions attract thousands of current members and hundreds of prospective members. If we help just one wake up and walk away from the cult, we will be successful.

What We Need & What You Get

Here are the specifics of the campaign

Total cost of this project is $3,272
The funds will be used 100% for the purchase of ad space on a billboard along I-35 in Belton, TX, the main route those from Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas will use to get to the convention.
The billboard is 672 square feet and will run from July 15th to August 15th, plenty of time to not only catch the attention of convention goers, but locals in the community and the workers setting up the convention.
The contracting company for the billboard is Lamar.
A special web landing page will be created that will align with the billboard's message so we can understand the success of the campaign. We will be measuring increase in web traffic as well as engagement and source.
If we don't reach the goal, all funds will go to supporting jwfacts.com

The Message

The message of the billboard has not been finalized. The message in the campaign picture, that of child molestation, is one of several considered.

and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

So many lives lost and torn to blind and in many cases unduly influenced allegiance to man made ideas and manipulation of faith.

i am reading again the work.."the gentile times reconsidered" by carl olof jonsson.

it is very heavy going but he uses world sources as used by wt to totally refute the 607 thing.

he sent his studies on this to bethel ny and waited on jehovah.

Highly recommend this book. Currently reading it. One of the most detailed reads that also gives due citations. It lays out historical facts beyond doubt and shows how misleading JWs are when they imply they have special divination that led them to signify their highly regarded 1914. Also especially like the background given that shows the origins of the Second Adventist movements and the proponents for those ideas.

i think we've all noticed a ton of newbe's these past months.

one part of escaping or thinking about escaping the jw's is coming to terms with what you believe now and/or what direction you are leaning towards.. here is a site that has a quick quiz that may be of some worth or just for fun.

i took it when i first signed on here and the results surprised me because it was pretty accurate.. you don't have to sign up for anything and when you finish you will get a percentage answer on 20 major belief systems.

Advice needed on Crisis of Conscience

so, some of you may have seen my thread from yesterday about my wife waking up.. we had further discussion yesterday evening after i sent her the pbs video on the abuse scandals plaguing the watchtower.

she was so furious and pissed off at wt hq.

apparently a close relative of her's was abused by an elder and the only reason he was reproved and removed as an elder was because he confessed.

I have a copy quite plainly placed in my house, I don't know if my wife has taken a look at it in my absence.
