well as I have said in a earlier 'hunting thread', I come from an area where hunting is a very normal part of life. I understand how much a deer can be utilized for food... so.. to congrats to you guys....
gross about the gutting.. ugh..

Secret Santa II......
by Gadget ini've just read in another thread that due to circumstances the secret santa for this year hasn't been able to happen, so i want to try and organise another one!.
according to the lady at the post office, the closing date for international mail to be delivered before xmas is this week, but for post on the same continent we still have a few weeks so i'll try and take that into account so everyone can have their prezzy before christmas day.

well I asked my boyfriend who is the expert on gaming (ok he is my expert to me.. ) and he says X-box.. better graphics. He has playstation 2 but I am buying him the X Box for a present (shhhh don't tell)
he asks though.. how old is the person who you are buying it for? that can make the choice different..

I went to see my mom after 4 years, now I am sadder
by orangefatcat inlast evening i recieved an e-mail from my aunt who is not a jw, and she told me that my mom was taken to the hospital with a serious bowel obstruction.
my aunt knowing our family sitution felt it would be a good time to see what your mom would do.
so i called my sister who lives not to far from me.

aahhh orangefatcat, I am so sorry for this pain you have. More than anything, the division of what this cult causes in families bothers me more than anything. This is not natural. My mother like yours will never leave. I know that there is no way to look at this in a positive way, but perhaps if you focus on those words said that she loved you, hang on to those words, for I am sure this is hard on her as well. You said she did not shed a tear, but I have to wonder if when you were gone and she was back in her room, if she might have weeped as you have. It's that damn organization that is doing this.. and our family still brainwashed and stuck in, really think they are setting the example of helping us return to save our lives..
sad they don't know they are wasting precious time when we could be together. I hate that. We should be able to have our families in our lives to LOVE. This is so wrong..
PLEASE take with this ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) of understanding.. and remember we care!

That is so true. I can remember when a JW and I heard people thought of us as a cult, I thought they were crazy. Now that I am out, wow.. there is no doubt what it is.. Sometimes I think it is a miracle to have gotten out...

I saw my PO yesterday as I drove on the way to mall to buy a Xmas present.. They must have been coming back from field service.. I guess I am just too mellow. As angry as I am at the WTS, I don't have it in me to hold the finger up at him.. actually I have never told anyone to f*** of* ever or given them the finger..
maybe I need to work on those skills..
my ex used to say F*** Me and I'd couldn't help but say .. you wish though..
I wonder if I am not as angry at people because I didn't study with anyone persay but was 'raised in it'.. I'm angry about the lies but it is hard to hate your parent.
