okay guys - planning my summer vacations and i wanna know - can we make this happen or what????.

decent campgrounds fill up pretty quick, so i'd like to look into some.

i know nova scotia & ontario are many moons apart, and there was discussion of 2 separate fests.. if there are 2 separate ones, owens sound area, ontario has some pretty cool campgrounds.. who's in???

sns....if you want to camp in a tent, I have a extra one....and extra camping gear to...if you want a cabin, I dont blame ya...

well Morty.. I am just thinking that jack(theblacknight) and I tend to get a little nosey in our private moments.. (ok.... so I do ).. thought it might be more appropriate to give you guys some peace and quiet and get a cabin..

...the party will be in your cabin, where it is warm too...lol...we will be on the shooter commitie.....i cant wait.....

absolutely.. B.Y.O.B. oh.. and we could have blind folds if iiz2cool wants to do a real taste test...

oh.. Morty.. and we do have hobos where I live.. but I'd prefer if that stays Mac's responsibility!

Sad thing is now that I know it wasn't the truth... I won't get that..

I remember when I first went to a jdub get together where there was dancing...it was back in '73....and ppl stood on the side of the dance floor commenting on the brave souls who ventured to schlep out on the dance floor...blech

I remember gatherings like that too.. well this group I went to formals with in the past few years did love to dance. Sometimes it was hard to find a place on the dance floor.. I will miss those dance.. but now my bf and I can always go out to a club.. so it's ok..

Well, I brought one in officially. But she married and had children so maybe that counts for three more.

Her life was pretty crappy. Even though I am glad to be out, I can't say that if she had not became a JW, that her life would have been better off. And she loves her husband. I don't really have any guilt about it.

I do think about my sister in law (ex) and how I tried for years to get her to come back (she's been inactive/almost a fade for 20 plus yrs). Its funny now, because she knows I chose to leave and although she still isn't attending meetings, I think she thinks I should not have given up on it and I should try to come back. I sort of wish I hadn't tried to help encourage her to return now... even though she never listened, I have to wonder if it helped her continue to believe it really was the "TRUTH"

i'm hearing more and more about jfk, his life and his murder.

the more i hear, the more i believe it was a government conspiracy.

all of that aside, did anyone hear this interesting tid-bit--they say that he "had to be killed--because he was the only us president that was a catholic, and the only president who wasn't a mason".

My bf and I watched the History Channel the other night and the special on JFK. Both of us in the past have done some reading into his death, as well as gone to the location of the shooting to try to envision the events. I think you are either interested in the subject or you aren't. It would be one thing if we had all the answers, then everyone would get tired of it, but if you still have questions in your mind that need answering, there are reasons to learn more if there is any new evidence or speculation that fills in some gaps left unanswered.

Actually I love to dance to most any music.. I remember going to a formal a yr ago where they were playing hip hop and R&B and the first notes of the song "It wasn't me" by Shaggy started.. I love that song.. and I went to grab a brother to run out on the dance floor and my other friend said.. DON'T go there girl, you won't make it out there before they yank the song.. and she was right.... the DJ got reprimanded for playing the song as it was not on the "approved' song list.

So nice to be able to dance to whatever songs I want now!

Does anyone have a WT/AWAKE cover pertaining to the Occult?

please help!

i have a huge power-point presentation due by friday, and need some depiction from the wtbts concerning the "dangers" of the occult or spiritism.

it deals with the tremendous variations of our world and how "evil" is defined and relative to each individual (ex; the i-ching is vital to confucianism, but feared by jw's, the crusades sought to "save" everyone by forcing conversion to catholicism, but tortured and blinded non believers with agonizing hot iron rods, etc.....)

Where are we all going.....What happens........?

i watch families crowding around a loved one in hospital whom i'm taking care of who die......sometimes they're old, but that doesn't diminish their pain, still the hurt is palpable.

sometimes they are young, this increases their pain and ours even more.

a death occurs, we feel hopeless, they are distraught beyond belief..... what to say?

I don't know what I think any more. My ex father in law died a few days ago and I am still extremely close to one of the daughters. In the past I would have said something about being appreciative for the resurrection hope, or reminded her that she was in my prayers, but I didn't know what to say. I don't know what I believe and I am not praying at the moment. I feel a little lost and floating looking for answers. It feels good to have my eyes open about the WTS but it sure opens up a world of "I don't knows"...

Losing our dog Kate....she was unique.

to me today was the saddest day for a long while.

kate my sisters dog developed a strange cough a week ago and so we too her to the vets and he gave her a steroid and antibiotic injection and kept her in for 4 days, she was diaganosed with "collapsed trachea syndrome" she was a yorkshire terrier and apparently this is common in small dogs like this.. my dad is a carpet fitter, and just over 2 years ago he was doing a job in a house close by and the woman that owned kate at the time kicked her as she walked past her and cussed at her as she cowered, dad was appalled and said he'd take her, which he did, and jane (my sister) took her in and spoiled her rotten.

this little bundle of nerves really developed into a fantastic little dog, she looked like a little rat to be honest!

there appears 2 b a sick religious cult around.. a man convicted of rape, was talking 2 some1 on a mobile phone taking instructions on how 2 do `it' while raping a girl, the man said `i am attaining a higher level'.
