  all I know is I felt so repressed as a JW regarding sex. Everything was wrong or taboo. I can't believe how much of a new world has opened up getting out from under that.

  Are you a "party person"?

  i went to a party last night.

  as i stood there enjoying the gratifying numbness of a bourban, i couldn't help but feel a vast disconnect between myself and the scene at hand: ridiculously loud music with the bass at three times it's normal level, sweaty bodies smoking with abandon the filthy weeds between their fingers, people coming in the door shouting a barbaric "what up!

  totally depends on my mood.. I am a people person and love to party, but I also like my private time. So like I said.. depends on my mood!

  men or women who cheat on thier spouses, not just once, but repeatedly, with various people.

  also, do you find those actions mature, or... immature?.

  Just because I am no longer acting as a JW, does not mean I now consider 'anything goes' ok. I think if one is in a relationship with someone, they should be loyal to their spouse, not just for their spouses benefit but for their own self respect as well.

  in many ways I think I was pretty close to 'perfect' for my first husband.. being raised not just as a JW and under the idea of a good submissive wife but also in the upper midwest where conservatism is strong as well. I was raised to think first of being a perfect wife, perfect mother. My needs came last. My husbands came first. My boyfriend now says that I am the best girlfriend he has ever had. Not sure I deserve that title, but I sure am glad he feels that way. I'm not the same person my first husband married any more though. I have more self respect for myself and my needs. Fortunately, this is something my bf respects. (guess that comes from his NOT being a JW ever)

  The only thing I will tell you, is that it all falls into place when you see the last one!!

  god what i would do for a smoke right now!

  you see my afternoon started off ok until.........

  i had my credit cards stolen and all my cash out of my purse......i was going to my girlfriends house to pick her up to go birthday shopping for my son...i pulled into her laneway,ran into get her and left my van unlocked and running.

  Are You Ashamed Of The Way That You Disciplined Your Child?

  most articles in the publications recommended physical punishment, (corporal) when disciplining children.

  the scripture says that "he will not die" if you beat him.

  so many parents literally beat their children.

  I am ashamed the way my ex husband left marks on my children. He had a wooden board he widdled down to what he called the 'ole stick'. He would use it to spank the kids 'butts' when they were bad. I remember once he left marks on our baby (about 8 ir 9 at the time) on his 'butt' so bad. I screamed and screamed at him over it. Now I feel bad I didn't turn him in for abuse but at the time I thought I was doing the best I could do.. I would try when I could to stop him from disciplining, even if it meant him hitting me instead. (warped I know) what bothered me more though was my ex father in law who got upset with our son and put him in his trunk of his car and DROVE down the highway with him in there. My son had been acting up and he was teaching him a lesson. This man WAS AN elder!! We didn't learn of the incident till years later.
