after my brother died - my sis in law made sure we had little contact with his kids, since we were 'weak'!
the truth was, we were fading due to becoming aware of many things about the organization.
fast forward two years, and i hear that my niece - an absolutely sweet kid (now about 20) - was being df'd.
I hope to convince her, but have to tread slowly so as not scare her back into the arms of the organization. Steady as she goes... I hope it turns out well.Jeff
I hope it turns out well for her too. Just a slow steady trickle of info should do it. JW's...even DF'ed ones are conditioned to shutdown the thinking process if they feel threatened.

while i respect their activities and courage , i feel free as an ex jw to choose who i support publicly. and think its more jw mentality to try to force pubic support of anyone.
I respect your opinion. The main thought that I was trying to make (poorly perhaps) was not who we supported publicly but who we found the need to be critical of in public.

when i read some comments here, it seems that some can be so full of themselves that if they are disagreed with, they will mock, castigate, or be elitist with their condescending opinions.

I know my wife would always leave the mags in every motel room.
I would always leave a tip...hopefully the one would compensate for the other...
