I was only young when I left, well not really left I was never baptised into the religion, but just talk to people, its amazing how many good reactions you can get with a good conversation

How Do You Make Friends Now?
by exjdub incodeblue's thread about the teenage years made me start thinking about another aspect of being raised jw.
in the org we had ready made "friends" by virtue of our affiliation.
i found that after leaving jw's it was hard to meet people and it took me a long time to make friends.

Food glorious food...

a friend (and fellow scuba diver) brought me some fresh scallops, tonight - so fresh they were still in the shells.. i fried them with some mushrooms.. now i'm enjoying some fresh bread - boy do i love bread!.
what's your favourite fresh food?.

Lost
by Puternut infeeling lost today.. it's the weekend, and i will be once again going home to an empty house, where my children won't be welcoming me home.
i haven't seen or talked to them in a very long time.
i won't be able to kiss their sweet faces, or hold them close to me, so i can tell them i love them.

I myself do not have kids because I'm still a kid myself. I don't really have many words I can say only that I'm sorry that you have to go through the pain that u had gotten put on your shoulders... It's gonna be hard to forget about your kids and never be able to see them again... I had a little brother that was never really born because he died inside my step-moms womb... Never got to really see him at all, and that would have been my fathers a step-moms first boy out of four girls It pretty sad to think about things like this and have it in the back of your mind for the rest of your life. I feel your pain.
I dont know how this will help you in any way, but I hope it has a point to it.

Nah, I think I'll pass on having frost bite on my lil toesy's... hehehe. But hey its spring here, Lovin it I'm already into skirts, shorts and flip flops(sandal's) Im glad winter is gone here....nothin worse than waking up to a bunch of snow... its enough to blind someone
