I have a q about the new doctrine. If the faithful and discreet slave is only the GB, when Jesus comes and gives them all his possessions, will He give it only to anointed ones who have been part of the GB over the years, or to all anointed ones. In the second case, the faithful and discreet slave is still all the anointed ones not just GB ....

May’s ‘study WT’ admits having taught “far-fetched” ideas
by wheelwithinwheel innot on the front page, not in the study articles, but carefully camouflaged in the questions from readers on page 18 (watchtower march 15, 2015).
you can bet most jws wont even read it..
there is no apology...just the usual excuses..

Maybe this phrase types/ antitypes is commen in english.
In my language it is not and 99 % of people have not heard of it and have no idea what it means.
They should have said they will not try to give complicate significance to any parable or metaphor of the bible. And that all the parables or metaphor they gave special significance to is not valid anymore - like the faithful and descreet slave, the little flock and other sheep, not keeping birthdays, not voting etc!

Mays JW TV Broadcast/Your feedback is appreciated
by ToesUp ini have a pretty good intuition but i have to admit i am going back and forth on the jw tv may broadcast.
i keep asking myself are they really in financial trouble (wishful thinking) or are they just grabbing for more money?.
i always appreciate reading everyone's thoughts and ideas on here.. let me know what you think.

Wow, fredo, you are so right.
In light of my recent research about all that has been said and done by the people who ruled this organisation over the years, I ask myself: do those people have no fear of God?!

Are we going to see a mass awakening?
by kairos inthe internet is the archive for civilization.. watchtower cannot hide it's history.. are we seeing the beginning of a mass exodus out of her?.
-

I don't think there will be an awakening.
Most info on TTATT is in english ... there are so many jw's that do not speak english.
plus, there are so many (english speakers and not) who just refuse to read/listen to anything that criticize the org.

is it more likely to be the men or women who leave first?
by sowhatnow ini was just pondering the other day, is it more likely that a man will leave a religion, or a woman?
is there a way to know if the men on the site outnumber the women or vice versa as to who found out ttat first and left.. im going to suggest men.
basically because men in general, do not like to be told what to do.

(Not)Preaching advice
by paradisebeauty inhaving recently had an "awakening" - not from reading awake .... i realize i can not preach doctrines i do not believe anymore .
but i do not want the elders to start following my every move, because i also have plans to check other christian denominations.. so i am thinking, should i chat for an hour or two with an old visit and report the hours, should i tell the elders i have some doubts and i do not want to preach for now or should i just stop reporting and avoid the elders attempts to talk to me?
what do you think is the best sollution to get away with this?

Thank you so much everyone for the advice, it is deeply appreciated!
There are so many things I am seeing now, and sometimes I feel like telling them the real truth ... but I know it is better to keep it silent for now.
I'll try to do my best to fade quietly for now... Your support and advice is of so much help.

Faye Dunaway, I do not have family, nor trye friends here (maybe one). But almost all my aquintances are jw's.
I did all my holidays/travels in the last 5 years with jw's.
I think I barely know 2 people from outside in the town where I live.
I am not sure I can go through the emotional torment of being so isolated and shutt off by so many people right now.
Plus ... I think I want to drop a line now and then about what the Bible really says about some issues. I need time to study (the Bible this time, not the publications) and to be clear myself on some doctrines.
Right now I am clear that partaking at commemoration is not just for a class of people, they have a sort of hidden doctrine that they do not speak in very many publications (I found just 2 quotes by now) but this false doctrine is reflected in the fact that only annointed ones are partaking at comemoration: they say that Jesus is not the mediator between God and all humankind but only between God and the anointed ones!!!
If someone have told me this while I studied I would not have joined the organization.
anointed in greek is "christos" so they pretend to be "christos" and mediators between Jesus and other people ...

And if there are people with responsibility here, is becoming inactive very alarming to them?
Thank you for the input

Does anyone read the context of the verses about the faithful and discreet slave?
Jesus asks a question
Describes two possible courses of action -those of a f&d slave and those of a wicked slave
Jesus says at the second coming it will be proved if the slave was faithful or wicked, or it will be proven who was wicked and who was faithful
