  My sister and her husband were snowed in two ways: at the door and at work.

  They pressured me and when my brother died they picked up momentum. I used to think that me coming in had nothing to do with him dying but now I kinda think it did.

  Sis and brother in law are still in. My youngest brother is in now thanks to me. But for him the change was good at the time. Now I think he would be better off out I suppose. He happens to go a rare decent cong. He has a possibly fatal disease and coming out might prove too much for him though.

  I've never tried to commit suicide. Some things to think about: in most states, you are still going to get bills for the hospital, doctor, medications, counselors, etc. If you used an ambulence those aren't free either. Just the ride alone costs over $100 and if they do much to you on the ride it can cost $1000 or more. They do bill you and you will get turned over to collections if you don't pay.

  And as for suicidal people doing it for attention? Everyone needs love and attention. Here in the USA people become less neighborly and hospitable by the day. If you live alone,in most places, you could die of natural causes and no one would suspect a thing until there is an odor or icky stuff starts leaking through from your apartment to the next. If you even live in an apartment that is. Live in a house and have no interested family? You could be dead for weeks or even months before someone figures it out.

  Dec 15th WT - Our Watchfulness Takes on Greater Urgency

  when i picked up this copy of the wt, i couldn't believe what i saw in the two study articles.

  the first one is entitled "our watchfulness takes on greater urgency" and the second article is "prove yourselves ready for jehovah's day".. i'm not going to go into these articles in depth, as that is blondies job!

  but i will elaborate on a few points.. before i begin, let's consider a recent comment at the annual general meeting by bro barr, a gb member to put things into perspective:.

  I read your post. Just so you know at least one person read one of your posts. Thank you and how sad for the 72 year old sister working at Wal-mart. I feel like my life would be a lot better materially had I never have been a JW. But then I'm much happier in love now that my exhusband, a JW divorced me.

  All the JWD Maps in one place (except the UK)

  well i have redone the maps.

  it was helpful to have them separated before while i was trying to make them all.

  but now i think it is easier to have them separated.. ballistic has done an amazing job with the map of the uk you can find it at.

  What the,

  Please do stay here and take back your power. Do you think Jesus wanted us to be frightened of the elders or those in charge? Can you imagine what he would say to the governing body, DOs, COs and elders were here today? Probably something like: You offspring of vipers! You resemble white washed graves, beautiful on the outside but on the inside full of rotten bones.

  Some of the elders and people in charge have feelings just like you do. We have former elders here. Don't forget Raymond Franz: he was a member of the governing body and wrote many of the JW books. I am sure the gov. bod. considers him apostate enemy number one.

  If what those who have left are saying is not true it will be obvious. Why are the faitful so afraid of "apostate" teaching and thinking if it's not true? If "apostates" were saying JWs sacrifice virgins then you would know it wasn't true. If they said JWs practice polygamy, you would know it wasn't true. But they don't say those kinds of things. Find out for yourself if what is being said here is true. Most libraries have the internet. It's a place you can check the forum without someone catching you. Think about that.

  Eric,

  I know what you mean. It's like the song Listen To The Rythym Of The Pouring Rain. It's been raining here all day and what a beautiful symphony it's been. Then there are the crickets, katydids and frogs on a summer's night. Even my typing has a music all it's own.

  Remember when Harley Davidson tried to copyright their unique sound? They are loud for sure, especially when someone is kicking one off but they sure sound beautiful. To ride on one is a vibration celebration.
