as far as the wt society goes they have been pretty candid about there not being enough funds to meet the expenditure.
there are plenty of views on if this is really the case or not but underlying this is why are they spending so much money?.

Who compared the KH donation arrangement to that of a never ending mortgage?
by Boeing Stratofortress init was one of the commenters replying to another thread, but i cannot find it.
it was a great rant & well thought out.
it basically put in simple terms how the donation arrangement is like being forgiven of your 10 year mortgage, then being told you should 'donate' an amount equal to your monthly mortgage payment, but indefinitely.. i'd really like to find that person's reply, so i can use the same logic with some of my family members.

Richard Ashe Court Deposition - " Let elders handle child abuse- don't talk about it "
by flipper inas some of you know i was given pdf files of much of the conti and lopez child abuse court cases and asked from a friend to peruse through it and post some excerpts on the board here that may have been missed or not addressed in the pbs newshour report or the abc news nightline report.
so after going through this richard ashe testimony i feel i found something quite interesting that exposes the real attitudes of the wt society leaders towards child abuse and the attitudes wt leaders put into it's appointed men's minds as well.
the viewpoint that richard ashe displays is repeated in elders throughout thousands of jw congregations on this planet.

I sure hope you are right.
Again my biggest fear is mass suicide when the walls of Watchtower come crashing down.
If GB members end up in prison or are forced to testify in court, it'll all happen very quickly.

Kingdom Hall loans Cancelled? Lurkers...please read
by ToesUp ini hope that writing this, there will be some lurkers that i can shake.. if you have not listened to mays tv broadcast, please do.
it may wake some up.. note @ around 21-22 minutes into the broadcast lett brings up the the kingdom halls/assembly hall loans have been cancelled and the congregation can now send in what they can afford.
wow...how many banks would do that?.

The biggest kick to the crotch is that the local JWs never really owned the property they had a mortgage on to begin with. JWs are being asked to pay for/remodel property that they will never own.
The elders may be on the title, as long as they remain elders.
If the local property get sold, the money will ALWAYS end up in WT's bank account.If HQ decides your hall needs to be sold because Jehovah needs more money, there's not a thing YOU can do about it. Well you can drive 30 minutes to the next closest KH... Joy!

"how many pedophile lawsuits are the wts legal team currently defending?".
how would/could they answer?why should the answer be secret?.

Any elder must know the seriousness of the situation.
The comments found in the "Flock" book and BOE letters about dodging media/phoning WTS Legal dept and the like when questioned about the pedophile issue is alarming.What kind of excuses can be justified to keep this information secret?
Then you see the May2015 JWbroadcast and realize these lawsuit judgement/settlements aren't going to pay themselves. Sacrifice your firstfruits ( make a deposit into god's heavenly bank account. Then Stephen Lett will be careful spending "Jehovah's Money"® )
Won't the elders start waking up since they know the truth about the so-called forgiven mortgages?
I don't know if the answer is available, The number of lawsuits and total donated monies to defend/settle must be staggering.
That being said, please give some commentary!!

in 2013 the organization declared that the "faithful and discreet slave" consisted only of the seven member of the gb.
