  do other religions change doctrines like the wt society does?

  i just wondered.

  i mean ok, the catholic church seems to make 'adjustments' more or less , by accepting previously held prejudices.

  against certain things, like gays, or birth control, or rather tolerate it more, but is that a genuine change of doctrine?.

  lol, yea, I bet no one would even know actually, like me, i dont know anything about other religions, how many people know about the wt org and how it changes so much? probalby not many, thats why they remain somewhat successful

  well, then, i suppose it has happened to other faiths, but certainly not to the extent and obvious way the wt org does.

  apparently then what the wt org has is the new light of changing thier minds.

  and walking on jello, hmm that sounds like fun

  so recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".

  statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".

  or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

  nothing, there was only three that day getting dunked , me my husband and someone in a wheelchair.

  i hated getting all wet and looking stupid with a swim cap on so as not to ruin my hair.

  my husband stopped going about two years after he got baptised anyway.

  im sure he felt nothing as well

  even though the catholic church clearly has its own unbiblical teachings, it seems like not much has changed ,

  at least that Im aware of, being a housewife with no cable tv, lol.

  good greif shes only going out because the circus overseeitall is visiting shed never go out if he wanst there.

  i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.

  theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .

  we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.

  back at ya! its so quiet here without the school busses.

  i got a turkey marinating in the fridge.

  Im doing little work , im making the potatoes, thats it. everything else is being brought,

  I have no dishwasher, so i got me some cute paper plates and napkins

  and plastic silverware.

  my husband will make the turkey, I told him Im not touching it. it too much work.

  he wasnt happy with just a turkey breast baked in the oven, noooo he wants a whole bird.

  ill have 8 total tonight, could have had more, but im out of room.

  dont over do it, leftovers are great. lol
