it's shocking how they have destroyed the economy in less than a week - completely disagree.
The UK national debt currently stands at approx. £2 trillion.
And that is due to the bank crash of 2008, the spending of Labour governments, the spending of Tory governments, Boris Johnson pissing money away on Covid lockdowns, giving billions away to Ukraine, etc.
Don't believe everything you read in the mainstream media.
Re the current economic plan of Liz Truss - we'll just have to see. It's a huge gamble and could go seriously wrong.

Re the speculation about whether Lloyd could be gay ... I seriously doubt it.
Lloyd seems to be a classic narcissist. He also has bullying tendencies when things don't go his way.
On this forum alone, he embraced victimhood whilst telling soft+gentle to 'fuck off', and calling Slimboyfat an 'arsewipe'. Thank goodness all these old threads are kept so that Lloyd's posts are there for people to read later on.
"I have cheated on my wife with sex workers and somebody (Kim) has told the world - poor me!"
Load of f**king bullsh*t

Are Russian sanctions backfiring and US citizens paying the price?
by Fisherman inso many sanctions against russia but it appears that the us is affected more than russia by those sanctions..
-

Sanctions are hurting Russia, no question.
But the EU has given Putin billions since the Ukraine invasion, paying for gas and oil.
European countries are so dependent on Russian fuel that when Putin turns off the taps, places like Germany are in big trouble.

Ron DeSantis: "We do not require assistance. The people of Florida will rebuild on our own"
by BettyHumpter inas if.no, of course he's already asking for federal aid.
it's the republican way.
florida needs the rest of the country to pitch in taxpayer dollars because it's different when it happens to me.

Such a split would be pretty messy. ... How you gonna split that up? - ok, don't bother then. I don't care.
There's much fun for me, sitting on the sidelines and laughing at the culture wars.
It's funny when people spaz out over Trump ('literally Hitler', lol).
It's absurd and amuzing when current students, who know practically nothing, loudly demand that normal people address them as 'xe' or whatever.
It's a laugh when fourth-wave feminists moan about 30% of STEM employees being women, but are totally silent over the fact that only 2% of bricklayers are women.

Just read thru the two threads posted by Las Malvinas.
Lloyd just cannot take criticism. He is just insufferable. If he's like that in real life, he'd be one of those people I'd completely ignore. If he was my boss at work, I'd change jobs. His personality really is that bad.

Perhaps we should just let them go - yeah, maybe.
There is a growing feeling from some right-wing commentators such as Lauren Chen that the US should split into two new independent countries - one Republican, the other Democrat.

Will Ukraine win?
by Fisherman ini was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.
seems that russia’s military power is much less than it’s reputed to be.
no guess how it will all end..

Both countries use slightly different forms of the Cyrillic alphabet. There are four characters in the Russian alphabet which don't appear in the Ukranian one - yes, I know this.
All three languages use the same alphabet (Cyrillic).
German has four extra letters - umlaut over a, o and u, plus the letter ß (scharfes S).
German and English both use the same alphabet (Latin/Roman).
Simples.

Good points, Rivergang.
But Russian and Ukrainian (and Belorussian) use the same alphabet - Cyrillic.
