  i haven't seen it but i know it's put a lot of trendy people's panties in a bunch, lol.. yes, he makes savage jokes about current affairs and trans activism.

  no, that doesn't mean gervais hates trans people or is transphobic.. the way i see it, making jokes about trans issues is kinda evidence that trans stuff is becoming established.

  gervais is an equal opportunities b@st@rd - he takes the piss out of pretty much everyone, including himself.. what do trans activists want?

  @Freemail - I haven't seen it yet, but I have seen some of his other stand-up shows.

  I was a bit surprised at first because the humour at his stand-ups is kinda broader than his writing in sitcoms such as The Office and Extras.

  Still, I thought he was pretty funny, except for Politics. I was expecting political take-downs and criticisms and got neither.

  But Gervais is good at laughing at taboo stuff, lol ...

  I'm Going To The Olympics!

  i can barely believe it.

  it's really a dream come true.. the culmination of years of training and hard work.. i'm going to the olympics and i'm going to win multiple gold medals.. i finally figured that if a man can identify as a woman and win a medal, then i can identify as a disabled woman, so i reckon i can absolutely clean up at the special olympics.. it's so liberating being woke..

  i saw a post pop up on some click bait where serena williams saying she was praying for armageddon to come and that the jws have said we are living in critical times hard to deal with.this was her response to the texas school shooting.

  i am all for the second amendment and this does not change my mind.

  @shadowclone - I think it depends on whether they reference the massacre like Obama did.

  But I think it might be better to wait until the hysteria dies down before we can have a difficult discussion about gun rights.

  Look at the madness of liberal idiots politicising George Floyd's death as he lay dying. That was pretty f**king sick from the hard Left.

  I literally cannot believe what an asshole Barak Obama is - it was the timing of his comment that pissed me off.

  Wait a year, then if he wants to compare killings with black people killed by racists, then ok, we can have that discussion. It would be controversial, but we could have that discussion.

  But Obama made his comments when the kids' bodies were still warm.

  How is the 'Cost of Living Crisis' affecting you?

  here in the uk we've recently had the price cap on household energy bills raised by around £800 and there'll be another similar raise this autumn.. food prices are up, petrol is around £1.82 per litre - that's $10.37 per gallon for our american friends - and inflation is currently running at 9%.

  business are being hit as ordinary folk prioritise their spending.

  young folks are effectively priced out of the housing market and wage rises are not keeping pace.. mrs nic' and i are fortunate in that we're both in secure employment and with the kids moved out and mortgage paid off our outgoings are thankfully low.

  @Punk - I find it tempting not to vote at the next general election.

  But what I'll probably do is vote for an independent candidate.

  There's no way I'll vote for Labour or the Conservatives. Mainstream politics is a complete joke at the moment.

  I could count on one hand the number of MPs from those two parties whom I respect.

  So I'll use my vote to vote for someone else. It probably won't make much of an impact, but there you go ...
