here is an idea i tested.
works at both assemblies and conventions.
i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

Recent post over on jwtalk:"Just a warning!!!
We haven't had any apostates picket outside of our assembly hall for years now (Natick, MA). However, a number of the surrounding congregations have been/are having their Circuit Assemblies the past few and coming weeks. It seems that on a number of recent weekends, the friends tablets and phones have picked up wi-fi hotspot signals which use names composed of the URL of various apostate websites, or offer open wi-fi signals with innocuous names, but that route the user to an apostate website once they join the wi-fi network.
The Natick Assembly hall has notoriously bad cell phone reception, so many of the friends will often look for an open wi-fi signal to check something on JW.org, download the WT, etc.
It's like the sign-carrying protesters of old have figured out a way to carry their signs inside the session, and as of now, we can't stop them or the poisonous message they carry.
Very scary."
i'm just curious if anybody knows.
firstly i don't take issue with the man making money from his books and if he was able to live comfortably from it then i say power to him.
but what i'm wanting to know was just how successful was it and did it allow him to live out the remainder of his years in comfort e.g buy a house, eat good food etc.
According to http://www.commentarypress.com/
If someone downloads a copy of his books today, they are not taking anything from Him or His widow.
One of my regrets is not waking up in time to meet him, hear him speak and kick a few buck his way. (I was slaving away at Bethel making no money myself.)
yes, last week the number of bethel layoffs was confirmed from 90 to 125. .
and those going in thinking they may be there for some time have been told.
that they may be there for two months rather than 3 years depending on .
Can you scan them? Or mail them to me so I can scan them, then mail them back to you?
I have the 1952 Dwelling Together in Unity. Oh how I wish I had kept my two copies! They did a revision while I was there.
is this how they hope to draw tourists to warwick?
you're better off going to an actual museum!
the kids might learn something.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1knmqbctd8k.

-watchtower october 15 1955 page 623 paragraph 7october 1, 1914, is now more than forty-two years ago and the kingdoms fight at armageddon is fast nearing.
Let us assume it was on Friday, October 2nd, 1914.
Click here to calculate how long it's been since Russell entered the Bethel dining room and announced to the Bethel family: “The Gentile Times have ended; their kings have had their day.”
years ago i remember there being a number of sites with pretty extensive archives of watchtower publications online.
can anyone direct me to the best current site for this material?
in particular i am looking for a booklet from 1898 called "the bible vs. the theory of evolution".

there were always all types of speakers in the org.
myself, growing up a "witness", must have heard all types of talks, and given by all manner of speakers, especially on sundays, when almost every week we would get a "visiting" brother giving the public talk.. sometimes, you would have a "great" speaker, all fluent and animated.
other times we would get a comical speaker, one who would maybe purposelly get a few laughs outta the audience.
I'm still looking for that mp3...
JWTALK may have it, but I'm not welcome on their site

There was an mp3 that was floating around US Bethel in the mid 2000's of a DC Talk where the Bethel speaker was trying to describe the difference between a Squid and an Octopus. He kept say Testicles when he meant to say tentacles.
We got a stern talking to for not being loving and shaming our brother.
